Johnny Depp is trying to get out of filming The Tourist, after longtime girlfriend (and mother of his children) Vanessa Paradis objected to her man filming love scenes with Angelina Jolie, according to Page Six. We remember when Melanie Griffith supposedly stayed on set when husband Antonio Banderas filmed nude scenes with Jolie in 2001’s Original Sin, and everyone knows Jolie respectively stole Billy Bob Thornton and Brad Pitt from Laura Dern and Jennifer Aniston during film shoots. But are Hollywood’s better halves still worried about losing their fellas to Jolie now that she’s settled down with Brad and their barrel of children?
“[Paradis] found out that there was a real long and intense love scene between [Depp] and Jolie,” says their source. “He’s currently trying to [get out of the movie], but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying and they’re talking about replacing him with [Jolie's partner] Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.” Considering Depp is already on set and has praised Jolie in print (”She’s a nice woman. What she does she takes very seriously. I was really impressed by her and I’m thrilled to be working with her”), we kind of doubt he’s still ringing the “save me, she’s too sexy!” alarm. Not that a gossip site like ours would mind if Angelina cheated on Brad with Johnny…we just don’t think we’re that lucky.

The fashion at the world premiere of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland was just as dark as his gothic interpretation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. Aussie newcomer Mia Wasikowska (Alice) held her own alongside silver screen veterans Anne Hathaway (The White Queen) and Burton’s wife Helena Bonham Carter (The Red Queen). Wasikowska wore an open-backed laced gown, Hathaway sex’d it up in a slinky bronze dress, and Bonham Carter donned an expectedly kooky ensemble. Which Wonderland star looked the most glamorous? Vanessa Paradis has been an internationally famous singer since early adolescence, the 37-year-old knows she’s best known in the US for having two children with long-time partner Johnny Depp—someone she wasn’t hesitant to discuss at a Chanel dinner celebrating Rogue COCO, her new lipstick line, in NY last night. “I love his style, yeah, yeah, yeah!” she exclaimed to People. “I love him, and I don’t have to say I like this and I don’t like that. When you love somebody, you take them as they are. I would not change him.” Yeah, yeah, yeah! But do you really, really like him, Vanessa? As much as you like the quilt tiles on your dress?
“I like him very much in all terms and every sense of the way. He makes me happy. We are many things—we are together and, in a way, one person.” While Captain Jack wasn’t around to literalize her claims, Patti Smith—who joined Depp at Tim Burton’s MOMA party last year—and Kate Bosworth provided support in his stead. Typically attracted to critic-friendly films (Traffic, Things We Lost in the Fire, Che), Del Toro gets horrific for Valentine’s Day weekend in The Wolfman, starring as the legendary moon-hatin’ monster. Critics’ Choice-nominated Emily Blunt plays his fur-lovin’ love interest and always-great Anthony Hopkins co-stars as Del Toro’s father.
Alice in Wonderland: March 5th
Tim Burton + Johnny Depp. Do we really need to say more? Previous collaborations of the eccentric duo include Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. This fantastical gothic version of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale is sure to be visually stunning and over-the-top. Naturally Johnny Depp is The Mad Hatter, while Australian actress Mia Wasikowska snagged the role as Alice. Burton’s wife Helena Bonham Carter plays the part of The Red Queen with Anne Hathaway as The White Queen. Other highlights include Alan Rickman as The Caterpillar and Michael Sheen as The White Rabbit. Can you feel our excitement?

Sexiest Man Alive Johnny Depp has been left out of this year’s awards race so far, but he’ll always be at the top of the A-list in our hearts. In 2009, he opted for a summer blockbuster portraying one gorgeous John Dillinger in Public Enemies. From Cry-Baby to Edward Scissorhands to Pirates of the Caribbean, his versatility knows no bounds and we’re waiting with baited breath for his role as The Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, due out March 5th. Well played, Johnny Depp. While Twi-Hards worried whether Robert Pattinson would really be People’s Sexiest Man Alive last night, the real winner kept his mouth shut at the Museum Of Modern Art’s Tribute To Tim Burton. Looking cool next to punk priestess Patti Smith, Depp reminded us he was playing gothic cuties like Edward Scissorhands for the dark-minded director when Pattinson was in pre-school. Learn from a pro, kid!
Joining predictable attendees like Depp, Burton’s wife Helena Bonham Carter and Batman Returns villain Danny DeVito were some ladies we’d never take for goths: Brooke Shields, Gabourey Sidibe from Precious and Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen! Granted, the raccoon eyes should have tipped us off with those two.

Did you see your dad on the cover of People magazine? He’s been voted The Sexiest Man Alive! Okay okay, it’s Johnny Depp, but our resident King of Sex Appeal just isn’t doing it for us in this pic. No, it’s not just because we’re biased toward Depp’s heir (and hair) apparent, Robert Pattinson, even if his fake People cover was much sexier than the real thing. Johnny looks puffy and plain, like someone took a photo of him from his Free Winona years and age-progressed it a bit too much.
The actor has already won the coveted title before, in 2003, which leads us to think it might be time for him to retire his crown and hand it off to one of the hunky up and comers lurking in the sexy shadows. Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine, the dude who plays Desmond on “Lost”… there are a lot of options out there, People. Looks like those Megan Fox rumors were off the mark. Shia LaBeouf has been stepping out with new girlfriend Carey Mulligan, who we predict is going to be a big star. The British actress is soon to be seen in Brothers opposite Jake Gyllenhaal, is about to shoot Brighton Rock with Helen Mirren and has already been seen on the big screen in Public Enemies with Johnny Depp.
We’ve already caught Carey in a starring role in this fall’s forthcoming An Education and she is absolutely amazing. If you haven’t heard about this girl already, then movie star boyfriend + incredible acting talent = Kate Winslet-style fame soon enough. [Photo: Splash News Online]

What was once an intimate geekapalooza has now evolved into a gathering of the hottest bodies in Hollywood. The beautiful people continue to flock to San Diego for this weekend’s annual Comic-Con, which celebrates the comic book’s contribution to mainstream culture. Zoe Saldana, Kristen Bell, Olivia Wilde, Audrina Patridge, Megan Fox, Cameron Diaz, and of course the cast of New Moon are some of the attendees heating things up. Often elusive but always gorgeous Johnny Depp even made a surprise appearance when friend and director Tim Burton presented their highly anticipated film, Alice in Wonderland. As rumors fly that Johnny Depp will play The Riddler in the next installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, Mickey Rourke seems to be a shoe-in for The Joker. Shoot, he wouldn’t even need much hair and make-up! Although clean-shaven, Mickey looked a bit straggly entering the Jean-Paul Gaultier show at Paris Fashion Week.
