Nov. 30, 2009: Sky Blue FC (NJ/NY) waived Francielle.

Oct. 29, 2009: FC Gold Pride traded Allison Whitworth and its third round pick (23rd overall) in the 2010 WPS Draft to the Atlanta Beat for its second pick (10th overall) and second round pick (12th overall) in the 2010 WPS Draft.

Oct. 8, 2009: FC Gold Pride (Bay Area) signed free agent Candace Chapman.

Oct. 7, 2009: The Los Angeles Sol traded Allison Falk and Valerie Henderson to the Philadelphia Independence for its first round pick (5th overall) and its third round pick (22nd overall) in the 2010 WPS Draft.

Sept. 30, 2009: The Washington Freedom waived the 2010 options for Parissa Eyorokon, Emily Janss and Kati Jo Spisak.  Kristin DeDycker, Katie Forbis, Christen Karniski and Joanna Lohman were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: Sky Blue FC (NJ/NY) waived the 2010 options for Collette McCallum, Kelly Parker and Julianne Sitch.  Cori Alexander, Mele French, Katie Hooker and Lauren Sesselman were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: Saint Louis Athletica exercised the 2010 options for Lori Chalupny and Kia McNeill and re-signed Tina Ellerston and Angie Woznuk.  Saint Louis Athletica waived the 2010 options for Daniela and Sarah Walsh.  Niki Cross, Sheree Gray, Erin Kane, Ashlee Pistorius, Lisa Stoia, Melissa Tancredi, Erin Walter and Christie Welsh were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: The Philadelphia Independence exercised the 2010 option for Kelly Schmedes.

Sept. 30, 2009: The Los Angeles Sol exercised the 2010 option for Stephanie Cox.  The Los Angeles Sol waived the 2010 options for Han Duan, Martina Franko and Christie Shaner.  Liz Bogus, Brittany Cameron, Lyndsey Patterson, Keri Sanchez, Lisa Sari, Julia Schnugg, Aly Wagner and McCall Zerboni were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: FC Gold Pride (Bay Area) exercised the 2010 options for Eriko Arakawa, Nicole Barnhart, Brandi Chastain, Tina DiMartino, Allison Whitworth and Kimberly Yokers.  FC Gold Pride waived the 2010 options for Marissa Abegg, Adriane, Erika, Formiga and Tiffany Weimer.  Greer Barnes, Sissi, Lindsay Massengale, Meagan McCray and Leslie Osborne were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: The Chicago Red Stars waived the 2010 options for Heather Garriock, Frida Ostberg and Lydia Williams.  Cristiane, Jaimel Johnson, Carli Lloyd, Mary Therese McDonnell, Lydia Vandenbergh and Michelle Wenino were declared free agents.

Sept. 30, 2009: The Boston Breakers waived the 2010 options for Nancy Augustyniak Goffi and Candace Chapman.  Abby Crumpton, Fabiana, Kristin Luckenbill, Heather Mitts, Sophia Mundy, Ashley Phillips and Erika Sutton were declared free agents.

Sept. 29, 2009: The Boston Breakers traded Amy Rodriguez and their first pick in the 2010 WPS Draft (fifth overall) to the Philadelphia Independence for its first and second picks in the 2010 WPS Draft (second and 11th overall).

Sept. 28, 2009: The Boston Breakers exercised the 2010 options for: Christine Latham, Allison Lipsher, Mary-Frances Monroe, Kasey Moore, Jennifer Nobis and Maggie Tomecka.  The Breakers also loaned Jennifer Nobis to Pitea of Sweden's Damallsvenskan until Nov. 10.

Sept. 1, 2009: FC Gold Pride has loaned Eriko Arakawa to NTV Beleza of Japan’s Nadeshiko League through the end of her WPS contract which ends September 30.

Aug. 7, 2009: The Washington Freedom declared Briana Scurry as having a season-ending injury, elevated Kati Jo Spisak to the full roster and added Katie Forbis as a developmental player.

July 17, 2009: The Boston Breakers added Staci Bishop and Erika Sutton as short term players.

July 17, 2009: The Washington Freedom added Nicci Wright as a short term player.

June 29, 2009:
Los Angeles Sol agrees to provide to Sky Blue FC the 3rd round draft pick in the 2010 draft.  In exchange for this selection, Sky Blue FC agrees to provide to the Los Angeles Sol all rights and responsibilities to Christie Shaner.

June 29, 2009:
Los Angeles Sol listed Martina Franko as having a season-ended injury.

June 26, 2009:
Saint Louis Athletica traded Francielle, Kerri Hanks and the rights to international discover player Renata Costa to Sky Blue FC for Sarah Walsh, the rights to international discovery player Ester and a conditional draft pick.  If Sky Blue FC signs Renata Costa on or before December 1, 2009, Saint Louis Athletica will receive Sky Blue FC’s 1st round draft pick in the 2011 WPS Draft.  If Sky Blue FC does not sign Renata Costa on or before December 1, 2009, Saint Louis Athletica will receive Sky Blue FC’s 2nd round draft pick in the 2010 WPS Draft.

As this trade occurred after close of business CT, the change of registration for players active in WPS cannot be processed by US Soccer.  As such, the involved players cannot be rostered nor play for their new teams in matches this weekend.

May 8, 2009: The Los Angeles Sol traded Kendall Fletcher, Christie Welsh and its second round selection in the 2011 WPS Draft for Saint Louis Athletica’s first round selection in the 2011 WPS Draft and a conditional selection in the 2010 WPS Draft.  If Saint Louis Athletica finishes the 2009 regular season in 1st through 5th place, Saint Louis will give up the rights to its first round selection in the 2010 WPS Draft. However, if Saint Louis finishes the 2009 regular season in 6th or 7th place, Saint Louis will give up the rights to its second round selection in the 2010 WPS Draft.

Jan. 15, 2009: The Chicago Red Stars trade Alex Scott, its 6th Round Pick (41st overall) in the 2009 WPS Draft and its 10th Round Pick (69th overall) in the 2009 WPS Draft to the Boston Breakers for the 2nd Round Pick (14th overall) in the 2009 WPS Draft and the 4th Round Pick (28th overall) in the 2009 WPS Draft.
