French Marie Claire's NON-AIRBRUSHED Issue: Louise Bourgoin Looks Good! (PHOTOS, POLL)

French actress Louise Bourgoin is on the cover and in the pages of French Marie Claire's totally non-airbrushed April issue--and boy, does she look good! It's so nice to the little wrinkles around her eyes when she smiles, her shiny skin and all of the leg bones connected to the hipbones. Take a look (at these kind of grainy scans) and tell us which pic is your favorite.

I love it...and I love the French...now I just want them to use size 6, 7, 8, or 10 models...not fat...but curvy and still healthy:)

for more about me and my "French" lifestyle experiment (an american girl living french in the us for a year)

The French ELLE issue of March 26, 2010 "spécial rondes" used a (beautiful) size 14 model on their cover and inside fashion pages.... (this beautiful model is american, incidently).

Ah, je n'ai même pas pensé ! -:)

Mon attitude se résume par les lyriques de la chanson américain "you may not be perfect, but you're perfect for me!"

Bises,

I have seen photos that are so retouched that the tear ducts are removed from the inner eye. I like seeing the unretouched photos.

I don't have the technical knowledge of photography some posters have, but I say step, however small, toward a more sane approach to beauty is very POSITIVE.

The over-emphasis on beauty, to the point of seek absolute perfect, has deformed all our values and messed with many people's sex lives.

Bravo to Marie-Claire!!

Hey Yank, Funny to see you here !
I am so much more accustomed to reading your comments in the "Politics" or "World" sections of the HuffPo .... Can it be that Louise's Frenchness is the reason why you found your inner Style-blogger ?

If you use Photoshop and know anyone in the industry you know how much goes into these shoots.
She's gorgeous and she's real...most women that pose look nothing like the shot that's printed...

Bravo !

That doesn't have anything to do with airbrushing but rather lighting by the photographer. Use a light diffuser and the shiny goes away. Shot outside maybe in mid-day sun...the assistant holds up a diffuser...unless you want the shiny look....which is fine also.

Regardless, I don't see what the big deal is..she looks great.

I am glad that all one needs to be considered acceptable now in a photo is to conform to a particular set of physical characteristics, have professional hair, makeup, and lighting people, have a terrific photographer who takes thousands of shots, and to pick the best few of all the pictures taken.

It's just good to have the pressure off. I will sleep better now.

PS She does look teh hawt and I'll take this over the ridiculously overprocessed images folks are used to seeing.

there is no such thing as an Unretouched photograph, dont believe any of it unless someone hands you a raw images directly from their digital camera.

Agree though I think they are talking about switching the smile, shaving the ankles, smoothing the coloration of skin. Honestly I hope this 'untouched' spread will start a trend. I prefer the 'untouched' photos versus the caked on air brush look. It's like my vision blurred on some of these photos especially on the rush jobs. Plus it'll hopefully stop the constant 'These ain't real women, this is a REAL woman. [shows off 280 lbs. body]' comments.

I'm an old goat. I've learned to appreciate the wrinkles, cellulite, sagging flesh & strech marks of post menopausal women. Life is being good to me.

Jessica Simpson is untouched (get your minds out of the gutter) on the cover of Marie Claire's U.S. issue. She looks beautiful.

My mind is in the sewer. Do you realize how much of my energy it would take to get my mind to the level of a gutter? I'm not going to make any effort to climb to the level of a gutter, Dionita. Are you a Puritan? Wallowing in the filth of a sewer is pleasant & warm too.
