Team Manager – Central Placements and Fostering

Leading our central placements and fostering team, you’ll oversee the commissioning of placements and recruitment and development of foster carers, as well as ensure that we build upon our success in delivering effective services for children in care. You’ll also co-ordinate the day-to-day work of social workers, handling referrals, providing guidance and supporting their professional development.

A proven team management background in a fostering or family placement setting will be essential, as well as the drive and motivation to keep the service moving forward. You’ll also be able to balance a creative and innovative approach with pragmatism and sound decision-making skills. Equally important is a hands-on style of leadership and the ability to forge close links with a range of departments and partner agencies.
