Just as it is in the PvP arena, players can utilize any of the characters available in their rosters, whether they wish to harness the unyielding strength of Elesis, the sword-wielding warrior, the magical might of Arme the mage, or blanket their enemies in a shower of deadly arrows with Lire the archer... or any of the other diverse characters and classes available.
Grand Chase is truly a free to play online game, built in the new tradition of the item mall, but also providing the means for players to experience the title fully without the need ever to spending actual currency.
It is entirely up to the players to use the characters that each one wants, when they want, without being locked down to only a handful of avatars. This provides a great deal of variation for the dungeon exploration exploits of the knights since full teams and nearly limitless combinations of characters can be employed for confronting each and every such locale.

Equipment options offer depth that's more than just skin deep
Whether embarking on a quest against the harrowing challenges of the enemy-filled dungeons or testing one's skill against fellow knights in the PvP arena, having the right equipment can provide the edge that proves the difference between heroic victory and horrible defeat. In Grand Chase, players maintain access to their entire roster of available and unlocked characters at all times, where each has unique skills and items designed solely for it, focused on its particular strengths and abilities. Items can be found in the dungeons since defeated enemies can drop them, but for the serious knight, the real show begins in the shop. Within it, players will be able to obtain armor, weapons, accessories, items and more for each and every one of their characters.

The shop is full of every possible type of gear that a knight could possibly need. Furthermore, all the items are distinct for each character, specific and unique, not only in the statistic bonuses that they provide, but also in the way that they appear when equipped. Grand Chase's character models are exceedingly detailed, and the equipment that can be worn is easily viewable on them, providing a way for every player not only to boost the stats of their knights, but also to control the look and appearance of their in-game avatars, allowing them to express their true selves.

The equipment comes in complete, themed sets, or can be worn as individual pieces depending on player's preference. In addition to the large variety and nearly limitless combinations available for the characters, equipment can be obtained not just with real cash, but also with through in-game currency and specifically gathered items. This means Grand Chase is truly a free to play online game, built in the new tradition of the item mall, but also providing the means for players to experience the title fully without the need ever to spending actual currency.

Nearly endless equipment and item combinations, full availability of all characters in a player's roster, excellent design and artistic direction, combined with full-on, adrenaline-pumping intuitive controls help to make Grand Chase a truly unique offering within the online game category.
