A group of children relay through St. John’s to return a ball to its juggler. This colourful film is a celebration of the games children play, from hopscotch and skipping to dancing and more.
Director Biography :
Lisa is well known in the Newfoundland arts community as a performer, writer and filmmaker. She worked as an assistant director for many years before turning her hand to directing and screenwriting. She has made two dance shorts for Bravo!Television and won a Canadian Screenwriter’s Award for the dramatic miniseries Above and Beyond. She has made a significant contribution to contemporary dance in St. John’s not only as an artist, but also as a curator with Neighbourhood Dance Works, where she served as chair from 2004-2006. Lisa has a BA in English and a Masters in Humanities from Memorial University.
This film was commissioned by CODE Motion Pictures, a collection of digital shorts that explore the human body in motion, created by filmmakers across Canada.
