Quick Tips: Planning your 2010 Winter Games Experience

Your Paralympic experience is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Be sure to make the most of it and consider these three helpful tips as you plan your 2010 Winter Games experience:

  1. Mix and Match
Witnessing the Paralympic Winter Games gives you a rare chance to see top-calibre competition from around the world in a wide variety of sports. Take this opportunity to truly experience the Games by mixing the sports you love with sports and venues that may be new to you.

  2. Give Yourself Time
We recommend planning to attend a maximum of one event per day. We strongly suggest you arrive early at the venue to allow plenty of time for the security screening process and to find your seat. The Paralympic Games Opening Ceremony opens three hours before the event. All other venues will open two hours before the start of Paralympic Games events. Event postponements or delays occasionally happen. Building your schedule by giving yourself ample flex time will ensure that such occurrences don’t hamper your experience.

  3. Have your Visa card ready
In recognition of Visa's support of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, we’re proud to accept only Visa cards. For more information on how to obtain a Visa card, visit your financial institution or Visa.ca.
