All competition venues will offer accessible entry, accessible seating options, accessible washroom facilities, assisted hearing device and wheelchair loans, American Sign Language interpretation at Opening and Closing Ceremonies, accessible transportation and accessible shuttle service at outdoor venues with longer travel distances. Assistance guide dogs are also welcome. Limited assistance will be available between the venue’s ticketed entry point and the seating areas.

Official merchandise, including sport-specific and Team Canada merchandise, is sold at dedicated locations within all Olympic and Paralympic venues. You will find information about the area, Cultural Olympiad events, transportation, venue and competition information and results. There will also be information kiosks located throughout Metro Vancouver and in Whistler.

Each venue will have an area labelled “Stroller Storage." Baby strollers, wheelchairs and electric scooters may be stored in this designated area.

Yes bags are allowed in the venues, but they must fit under your seat. Persons with small bags — no larger than 15 cm x 15 cm x 30 cm (6 in x 6 in x 12 in) — will be directed to the Express Screening Lane at the venue entrance. Persons with larger bags will be directed to the standard screening lane; this screening may take longer. We strongly recommend you take the smallest bag possible.

No. Bicycles are considered restricted items at all venues. If you wish to cycle to a venue, bike parking is available in the following locations:
- For BC Place and Canada Hockey Place, under the north end of the Cambie Street Bridge near Andy Livingstone Park (Union Street and Quebec Street), and at the parkade at Cambie Street and Pender Street.
- For Pacific Coliseum, bike parking is available near the main entrance to the venue.
- For the Richmond Olympic Oval, bike parking is located on River Road, east and west of the venue.
- At UBC Thunderbird Arena, there is bike parking at the UBC Bus Loop, near the transportation drop-off point.
- For the Vancouver Olympic/Paralympic Centre, bike parking is located at the intersection of Peveril Avenue and Manitoba Street, near the main entrance to the venue.

You may use any of the screening lanes. Additionally, there will be a designated gate at each venue’s security screening area to facilitate your screening.

Searches are part of our security screening process at the Paralympic Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Be prepared to have your bag and the contents of your pockets inspected. Spectators carrying restricted items will be asked to either return them to their point of origin or dispose of them immediately.

In order to enter the venue, you need a valid ticket with the correct day/session/time.

No. There is no storage or coat check at the venues.

With a valid ticket, entry is permitted into all venues until the event is over. You may have to wait for a break in competition before entering or exiting the seating bowl. Please note: if you are attending an event in Whistler and Vancouver on the same day, we suggest that you consider the travelling distance and the possibility of weather delays.

Photography for personal use is permitted, but flash photography is not permitted at Canada Hockey Place, Pacific Coliseum, Richmond Olympic Oval, UBC Thunderbird Arena and The Whistler Sliding Centre. The use of broadcast or photographic equipment for commercial purposes is prohibited.
