With the united purpose of welcoming and honouring Paralympic athletes in a spectacular celebration of ability and sport, an inspired team will deliver the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony at BC Place on March 12, 2010. Just over a week later, the Closing Ceremony will again honour athletes and bid farewell to the world when the 2010 Winter Games wrap up under the open sky at the Whistler Medals Plaza.




The team that will create these inspiring spectacles needs your energy and enthusiasm! It will take thousands of volunteers in both performing and backstage support roles to guarantee that these two incredible shows delight and amaze the millions of people watching around the world and the elite athletes who inspired them! Becoming part of this amazing team is simple – just follow the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) application process described below.

    The application period for Paralympic volunteer performers has now ended.
  • Hundreds of dedicated people are needed to support  the show in areas such as cast coordination, rehearsal operations, prop supervision, costume management, hair and makeup styling, food and beverage support and office assistance.
  • It’s a unique experience to be part of a team that entertains the world!
  • You must be 19 years old by September 1, 2009 to be considered.
