Aboriginal Tourism

When the eyes of the world are on Vancouver and Whistler in 2010, the Aboriginal tourism industry will have a great opportunity, both to showcase the rich culture and heritage of Aboriginal peoples and to grow their businesses.

Currently, the Aboriginal tourism industry employs more than 6,400 people across Canada. It’s an industry that’s steadily growing. We encourage Aboriginal businesses within the tourism industry to start planning today so they can capitalize on the influx of people who will come to watch or participate in the 2010 Games, as well as the billions of people worldwide who will be watching and learning about our country.
