Sponsors and Partners

The Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games wishes to acknowledge the support of our sponsors and partners. Their belief in the spirit of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements allows VANOC to pursue its goal of hosting an outstanding 2010 Winter Games.

Sponsors

The Olympic Winter Games could not happen without Olympic sponsors. In addition to the direct revenue generated by sponsors, each sponsor’s products, technology and expertise are vital to the success of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Through their commitment and support, the Vancouver 2010 sponsors provide the foundation for the staging of the 2010 Winter Games and contribute to every participating athlete.

The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) is a not-for-profit, charitable, private corporation with the mission of developing and growing the Paralympic Movement in Canada. Visit www.paralympic.ca for more information on the Canadian Paralympic Committee.

Friends of the Games

Friends of the Games (Friends) is a donor-based program providing a unique opportunity for the business community to participate in and support the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and its legacy.

The program provides an opportunity for those making a contribution to take an active role in the development and success of Canada’s Games in one of two ways: a cash donation or a supply of products and/or services required to develop and stage the Games.

The objective of the Friends program is to engage and partner members of the business community in the staging of the 2010 Winter Games. Furthermore, Friends will be able to build a relationship with the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) and the local, national and global business community.

While Friends does not offer sponsorship or marketing rights, there are many unique benefits associated with the program including: preferred access to sold out event tickets during the 2010 Winter Games, corporate recognition in the official Games program guide, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to run in the Olympic Torch Relay and most importantly, the opportunity for a company’s product and services to play a pivotal role in the hosting of Canada’s Games.
