As part of our commitment to help create a better Canada, RBC sponsors amateur sport, from grassroots programs in local communities to national sport associations that support the development of amateur athletes who compete at home and abroad. As a long-standing supporter of the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Teams, RBC continues its sponsorship through the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and is proud to help showcase Olympic and Paralympic sport as presenting partner of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays. Government of Canada

The Government of Canada is a proud partner in the planning and staging of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and it is committed to ensuring its investments result in lasting legacies for all Canadians. This includes supporting the 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay.

The Government of Canada is providing $2 million to the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) to organize the Paralympic Torch Relay and to ensure that it brings the excitement of the Games to communities throughout Canada. The Paralympic Torch Relay will touch the soul of the nation and inspire the world.

Government of British Columbia
The Government of British Columbia is the proud Host Province for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. The Paralympic Torch Relay represents a significant opportunity to create understanding and awareness about people with disabilities and the Paralympic Movement. Through the 2010 Paralympic Torch Relay, the Government of British Columbia is promoting healthy communities, healthy lifestyles and individual excellence.

Signature Supporters

Bombardier
A world-leader in the manufacturing of planes and trains, Bombardier has joined VANOC as an official supporter of the 2010 Winter Games and a signature supporter of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relays. As part of their sponsorship, Bombardier will manufacture the torches for the relays and two ceremony cauldrons — one at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver and the other at the Whistler Medals Plaza. 

Hudson's Bay Company
Hudson's Bay Company is a Premier National Partner and the General Retail Merchant of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games. As part of Hudson Bay company’s Torch Relay sponsorship agreement, they are designing and manufacturing the Olympic and Paralympic Torch Relay uniforms as well as for Torch Relay staff and escort runners.
