Luton Town boss Richard Money has won the Blue Square Premier "Manager of the Month" award for March.
The pre-season title favourites have taken their time acclimatising to the division, but after just five months in the Kenilworth Road hot-seat Money has got them moving in the right direction.
During the month of March the Hatters leapt from fifth place in the table to second spot with seven wins and a draw from their eight matches. Money's side averaged nearly four goals per game during the period, helped by comprehensive wins over Ebbsfleet United (6-1) and Hayes & Yeading (8-0).
In an unprecedented move league sponsors Blue Square delayed the announcement of the award until after the important Easter period in which Luton played leaders Stevenage.
Spokesman for the online betting company, who have just renewed their deal with the Football Conference for another three years, Alan Alger said: "The voting was incredibly close between Richard and the Stevenage manager Graham Westley, after they also had a good run.
"I took the decision to delay the announcement as I thought the winner would not thank us ahead of such an important game."
In the Blue Square South the award goes to Chelmsford City Head Coach Glenn Pennyfather.
The Clarets boss scoops the award for the second time in just four months after keeping his team in contention for the play-offs with a 100% record of four wins from four league matches.
Brian Little from Gainsborough Trinity has won the award in the Blue Square North.
The former Aston Villa manager took his side to mid-table safety with 17 points from a possible 21 during the period.
The month started with a draw at title chasing Southport, they also beat promotion hopefuls Alfreton Town at home in a thrilling game that ended 3-2.
