Striped Crochet Cardigan and Hat

Materials:
Crystal Palace Bunny Hop 2 (3, 3) balls of Color A, 2 balls of Color B, 1 ball of Color C [model shown on 23 mos old grandson in #2208 'mandarin red", #2205 "marigold" and #9575 "circus"
Bunny Hop is a blend of microfibers and 8% angora, see colors by clicking link Bunny Hop.
Hook: Crystal Palace Bamboo Crochet Hook size F.

Sizes:
6-12, 12-18, 18-24 mos.
Finished chest sizes: 20, 22, 24
This raglan sweater is worked from the top down.

Dc decrease: Yo, pull up loop, yo, draw thru 2 loops, yo, draw up loop in next st, yo, draw thru 2 loops, yo, draw thru all 3 loops.
Gauge: 4 dc = 1

Yoke
1- With A, ch 45 (45, 51), turn. Dc in 3rd ch from hook and next 4 (4, 5) ch, (2 dc, ch 2, 2dc) in next ch (corner made), dc in next 7 (7, 8) ch, corner in next ch, dc in next 13 (13, 15) ch, corner in next Ch, dc in next 7 (7, 8) ch, corner in next ch, Dc in next 6 (6, 7) ch. Ch 2, turn.
2- Ch 2, turn. *Dc in next dc and ea dc to corner, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc in corner sp.* Repeat between * 3 times more, dc in each dc to end of row,
draw color B thru last 2 sts of last dc. Stop here for smallest size.
For medium size, ch 2, repeat row 2 once more before changing color. 10 dc on each front.

For largest size, ch 2, repeat row 2 twice more before changing color. 12 dc on each front.
Begin Striping:
1- With B, ch 1, turn. Sc in first 2 dc, ch 1, *skip 1 dc, sc in next dc to corner sp, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 1*. Repeat between * 3 times more, ch 1, skip next dc, sc in next dc to last dc, sc in last dc. Fasten off B, do not turn.
2- Return to beginning of row just completed. Join C with sl st to first sc. Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, *sc in ch-1 space, ch 1* to corner, (2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in corner sp, ch 1, repeat between * three times more, work as est to end of row. Fasten off C, do not turn.
3- Return to beginning of row just completed. Join B with sl st to first sc. Ch 1, sc in first sc and ch-1 sp, *ch 1, sc in next sp,* to corner, ch 1, sc in last sc before corner, ch 3, sc in next sc, rep bet * to next corner. Repeat in this manner to end of row. Fasten off B. Do not turn.
4- Return to beginning of row just completed. Join A with sl st to first sc, ch 2, *dc in back loop of next sc, dc in ch-1 sp*. Repeat between * to corner sp, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in corner sp. Continue in this manner around, working dc in each of last 2 sc.
5- Ch 2, turn. Dc in ea dc, corner in ea corner sp around, working thru both loops of each dc.
6- Ch 1, turn. Sc in first 2 dc, ch 1, *skip 1 dc, sc in next dc to corner sp, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 1*. Repeat between * 3 times more, ch 1, skip next dc, sc in next dc to last dc, sc in last dc. Fasten off B, do not turn.
7- Return to beginning of row just completed. Join C with sl st to first sc. Ch 1, sc in first sc, ch 1, *sc in ch-1 space, ch 1* to corner, (2 sc, ch 1, 2 sc) in corner sp, ch 1, repeat between * three times more, work as est to end of row. Fasten off C, do not turn.
Repeat rows 3-7 once more. Fasten off.

Piece should measure 10 (11, 12) inches across back.

Sleeves: (both alike)
With right side facing, join yarn with sl st to space at underarm. Ch 2, dc in space, dc in each dc across sleeve, 2 dc in corner sp. Ch 2, turn. Dc in next dc, dc decrease across next 2 dc, dc to last 4 dc, dc decrease across next 2 dc, one dc in ea of next 2 dc.
Repeat this row until 8 (10, 12) rows have been completed. End by working a wrong side row, drawing B thru last 2 loops of last dc. Work 3 rows of striping as on yoke.
Join A, ch 2, dc in next sc and in ea sc and dc to end of row, working in back loops of sc only. Ch 2, turn. Dc across row, decreasing evenly spaced to 20 (23, 26) sts. Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
Repeat last row twice more. Fasten off.

Joining row:
With right side facing, join A to top of first dc on left front. Ch 1, dc in each dc to corner space at underarm, 2 dc in corner sp, skip sts of sleeve, 2 dc in next corner sp, dc in ea dc to next corner space, 2 dc in sp, 2 dc in next corner sp, dc in each dc across right front. Draw C thru last 2 loops of last dc. Continue as follows:
1- Ch 1, turn. Sc in first dc, *ch 2, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc* to end of row.
2- Ch 2, turn. 3 dc in ea sp across row, dc in last sc, drawing B thru last
2 loops of last dc.

Repeat rows 1 and 2, alternating B and C until piece measures 6 (7.5, 9) from underarm.
Left Front Border: With right side facing, join B with sl st to top of neck. Ch 1, sc in same place and across front edge, working 1 sc under bar of double crochets and into ends of sc rows. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc to end of row. Buttonhole row: (Buttonholes are worked on both sides of sweater, allowing placement of buttons for either boy or girl. Buttons are placed over buttonholes on opposite side.) Ch 1, turn. *Sc in first sc, ch 2, skip next 2 sc, sc in next 6 sc.* Repeat between * 5 (6, 7) times more, sc to end. Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc, 2 sc in each ch-2 space to end of row. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc to end of row. Fasten off.
Work right front border in same manner, matching buttonholes. Do not fasten off.

Neckband:
Ch 1, turn and working across neck edge, sc in same place and around neck. , join B with sl st to top of buttonband. Ch 1, sc in same place and around neck. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc around. Fasten off.

Hat
With A, ch 6, join with sl st to form ring. Ch 2, work 11 dc in ring. Join with sl st to top of beg ch 2.
1- Ch 2, dc in same place, work 2 dc in ea dc around. Join with sl st to beg ch 2 (24 dc)
2- Ch 2, dc in same place, dc in next dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc.* Rep between *
around, join with sl st to beg ch 2 (36 dc)
3- Ch 2, dc in same place and next 2 dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc.* Rep between *
around, join with sl st to beg ch 2. (48 dc)
4- Ch 2, dc in same place and next 3 dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc.* Rep between *
around, join with sl st to beg ch 2 (60 dc)
5- Ch 2, dc in same place and next 4 dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc.* Rep between *
around, join with sl st to beg ch 2 (72 dc). Stop here for 6 month size.
6- Ch 2, dc in same place and next 15 dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 15 dc.* Rep between * around (78 dc). Join with sl st, drawing B thru last 2 loops. Begin stripes:
7- With B, ch 1, sc in same place, *ch 2, skip 2 dc, sc in next dc* around, end ch 2, skip 2 dc, sl st in beg sc.
8- Sl st into ch-2 sp, ch 2, 2 dc in same space, *3 dc in next sp* around, ending sl st into top of beg ch 2. Fasten off.
9- Join C with sl st to any space between clusters, ch 1, sc in same place,
*ch 2, sc in space between next 2 clusters around,* ending ch 2, sl st in beg sc.
10- Sl st into next ch-2 space. Repeat row 8. Fasten off.
11- Repeat row 9, using B.
12- Repeat row 10, using B.
13- Join A with sl st to top of any dc, ch 2, dc in next dc and each dc around, join with sl st to top of beg ch 2. Fasten off.
14- Join C with sl st to any dc, sc in same place, *ch 1, skip 1 dc, sc in next dc* around, end ch 1, join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
15- Join B with sl st to any ch-1 space, ch 1, sc in same space, *ch 1, sc in next ch-1 sp*
around, end ch 1, sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
16- Join C and repeat row 15.
17- Join A with sl st to any sc, ch 2, dc in each sc and space around. Join with sl st to beg ch 2. Fasten off.
