Tim Morris

Organisational Behaviour and Leadership

Tim Morris is Professor of Management Studies and Academic Director of the Clifford Chance Centre for the Management of Professional Service Firms at Saïd Business School. He was previously a professor at Imperial College, London and at London Business School. Tim specialises in the leadership challenges facing those heading up organisations of professionals and has taught and written extensively on strategic change, the management of innovation and strategies for managing human capital.

Owen Darbishire

Organisational Behaviour 

Dr Owen Darbishire is the Rhodes Trust University lecturer in Management Studies.  His research and writing focuses on how labour markets, employment patterns and work are changing and how corporations respond to pressures like new technology, increased competition and the deregulation of markets. Current projects include the changing patterns of work and industrial relations in the telecommunications industry and the implications of “shareholder value” pressures in Europe on work and industrial relations.

Sue Dopson

Organisational Behaviour

Dr Sue Dopson is Director of Research Degrees at Saïd Business School and a Rhodes Trust Reader in Organisational Behaviour.  She is a consultant on management development to various companies and teaches on the business school’s Strategic Leadership Programme.   As a member of the Oxford Health Care Management Institute (OHCMI), she is involved in the development of courses for the NHS.  Her research interests include the nature of managerial work, the changing role of the middle manager and career issues for executives.

Chris McKenna

Strategy

Dr Chris McKenna’s research interests include the history of white collar crime and the transmission and translation of management models. Adept in translating his academic work to popular audiences, McKenna’s research has been featured in The Harvard Business Review, The Sunday Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Financial Times.  A popular teacher of MBAs and executives, McKenna was nominated twice as one of Oxford University’s three best teachers for the UK's National Teaching Fellowship Award.

Marc Ventresca

Strategy

Dr Mark Ventresca, University Lecturer in Management Studies (Strategy and Entrepreneurship) teaches technology, strategy and organisational theory.  His research uses strategy, economic sociology and cultural institutionalism to understand industry emergence, innovation and entrepreneurial activity in knowledge intensive industries.

Richard Whittington

Strategy

Professor of Strategic Management, Richard Whittington’s current research interest is in building a “practice” perspective on strategy and organisation and is currently working on three projects within this perspective.  Professor Whittington teaches Strategy on all our management degree programmes.

Kathy Harvey

Development Director

Kathy Harvey is responsible for the development of postgraduate diploma programmes at the Saïd Business School. She is the main point of contact for senior executives and their organisations and is responsible for the continuing growth of executive finance programmes at the Business School.
