Knowledge diffusion in health care settings

Sue Dopson is a co-invesigator on a project the seeks to build knowledge translation theory, specifically looking at the role of context in influencing knowledge use in long term care settings and among non-professional care givers.  The research will develop an organizational monitoring system to profile context in long term elderly care facilities; collect in-depth organizational data; assess the effect of context on the extent of implementation of an intervention over time and will pilot innovative knowledge translation interventions.  This research will contribute to enhanced use of knowledge in long-term care.
