DESMOND SHOWS SOME POP
Ian Desmond had a home run and a double for the Nationals in their loss to the Phillies. It was the third time in 16 career starts at shortstop that Desmond homered and doubled in the same game. In Expos/Nationals history, only three shortstops have had as many such games as Desmond: Orlando Cabrera (12), Wil Cordero (12) and Hubie Brooks (five).
