Professional dominatrix Sophie Allen has used a sleepy village hall as a secret bondage den

The only leather usually seen at Water Upton village hall is that binding the diaries of the parish councillors during their monthly meetings there.

That was until a professional dominatrix began hiring out the venue to shoot X-rated video scenes to publicise her business.

Sophie Allen, a 27-year-old who goes by the name of Mistress Tia, said she chose the hall in the sleepy Shropshire village because the wooden floor 'accentuated the sound of my heels'.

One clip filmed at the hall which is running on her website shows Miss Allen beating a group of 'slaves' into submission and using them as furniture or ashtrays.

Another shows her kicking a naked man who is trussed up to the hall's serving hatch.

Yesterday residents in the tranquil parish, which has a population of just 856, told of their shock at the dominatrix's activities.

Resident Deborah Dury, 36, who lives yards from the hall, said: ' I think it's disgraceful.

'There's a lot of children that cycle up and down by this area, so I hope she kept the curtains closed while she was doing it.

'It's a village hall and it's just not the setting for that.

'If people want to do stuff like that to each other they should do it on their own property.'

Another resident, who asked not to be named, said: 'I think it's disgraceful and it's not one of those things that should be going on in a village like this - it's the sort of thing that should be reserved for Amsterdam.'

As well as hosting the parish council, the hall, which costs £30-a-day to rent, is also more commonly used for community gatherings such as arts and yoga classes.

On her website, Miss Allen says: 'I am an experienced professional dominatrix and I welcome new and returning slaves, male and female alike'.

Amongst her 36 different 'services' for £80 per half hour or £150 per hour are degradation, flogging and trampling.

Miss Allen yesterday described the residents' concerns as 'ridiculous'.

She said: 'I've used the hall several times in the past. When someone books a hall for a party, they don't have to declare what type of party they are holding.

'I was just getting some pictures taken. No-one was paid to be there and everyone who took part volunteered - I don't know what the fuss about.'

But yesterday the chairman of the village hall management committee said the dominatrix had now been banned.

Katrina Baker said she arranged the hire of the hall with a local man who runs a photography business and wanted to hold 'auditions'.

She said she has since discovered he is Miss Allen's 'partner and manager'.

Mrs Baker said: 'When I eventually found out the hall had been used to make adult films he categorically denied it.

'I feel we've been completely deceived as we would have refused the application if we had known what the hall was going to be used for.'

She said the committee would now require all hirers to sign a form declaring that the hall would not be used for 'adult activity' and will carry out spot-checks to enforce the policy.

Mrs Baker added: 'I don't really know what this woman's work involves. I know there's a website but I've been advised not to look at it.

'Personally I think if they are consenting adults and there's nothing illegal about it then she has a right to earn a living, but she should be more honest with the venues she is using.'

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said the force would only investigate if it received a complaint.

He added: 'It doesn't look like anything illegal has happened here.

'If it is harmless and involving consenting people there is nothing that we can really do.'

If the Parish would just put up her rent, then we would not have to face the massive increase in council tax that we have just received. Anyway most people are probably anoyed that they weren't invited and had the opportunity to join in with the party!!
