Bonnaroo 2010 Lineup Revealed: Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon and More

The lineup for the 2010 Bonnaroo Festival is very slowly rolling out as artists playing the Manchester, Tennessee fest are revealing the news via Twitter, MySpace and their official Websites. It’s all part of the Internet-wide global “virtual event” that organizers planned to drum up excitement for this year’s fest, which will take place June 10th to 13th. Tickets for the festival went go on sale at 12 p.m. EST at the official Bonnaroo Website. Throughout the day, the Bonnaroo MySpace page revealed the artists playing this year’s fest one-by-one, with the last addition to the lineup, Stevie Wonder, announced just before 9 p.m. EST. The full lineup is below.

Relive ‘Roo ‘09 in photos: Bruce, Phish and more.

After weeks of speculation, it was revealed that Jay-Z would be among the headliners at the 2010 fest. Hova will also headline at the Coachella festival in April. Dave Matthews Band, Stevie Wonder and Kings of Leon were also named Bonnaroo headliners. Phoenix were the first band to “officially” announce they’ll be performing Bonnaroo, with Weezer coming in a close second. Jeff Beck, John Fogerty, OK Go, Martin Medeski & Wood and the Avett Brothers also confirmed they’ll be on hand. As Rolling Stone previously reported, the Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne accidentally let slip that his band will perform Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon during a late-night set, while still-unconfirmed reports named Paul Simon as a potential headliner, which proved to be false as of now. Dave Matthews Band left a long gap in his summer touring schedule around the festival, and the band’s slot on the lineup was confirmed three hours into the announcement rollout. To celebrate his headlining gig at Bonnaroo, Matthews drew a little cartoon on his iPhone marking the announcement. Watch it below:

This “virtual event,” however, has opened the window for unknown bands and people who aren’t even musicians to tweet that they are included in the lineup. Keep it tuned all day to Rolling Stone as we sift through the truth and the fiction while updating the official Bonnaroo lineup as it is announced.

Check out all of Rolling Stone’s coverage of Bonnaroo.

just announce the crappy lineup already!

fuck | 2/9/2010, 12:20 pm EST

yeah, this is stupid

Friggin Tommy Noble | 2/9/2010, 12:28 pm EST

Why are you waiting for a ‘crappy lineup’?

Agreed | 2/9/2010, 12:30 pm EST

Nothing spectacular yet…

CHUCKLES | 2/9/2010, 12:30 pm EST

My Morning Jacket? :(

a bit ridiculous.. | 2/9/2010, 12:31 pm EST

i agree with that comment

martin | 2/9/2010, 12:33 pm EST

i saw the constellations open up for RJD2(who was awful), they suck, the singer tries to hard to be like Jim Morrison and Tom Waits. the only good artist right now seems to be MMW. with rothbury out of the question and now this shit, i’m glad i’m goin to the montreal jazz fest this year

CGC | 2/9/2010, 12:34 pm EST

I heard Lil Wayne and T Pain are expected…

Gina | 2/9/2010, 12:34 pm EST

Such a huge festival, ought to be able to do much better with the line-up! No tickets for me and I live next door! Give your fans some really great shows and double your &&&&&&&! Ex. Clapton, Black-eyed Peas, Lady Ga-Ga, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Buffet, etc………..! Who picks the music anyway?

Tsk | 2/9/2010, 12:36 pm EST

So yeh this is not a very good lineup…I was expecting a lot better people as headline

Johnny Hammersticks | 2/9/2010, 12:36 pm EST

word…announce it already

Seahorses 4 Ever

Roobound09 | 2/9/2010, 12:37 pm EST

How is releasing the bands like this exciting? It’s really just getting me angry and making me think they are poor with management and understanding what their consumers want.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 12:38 pm EST

this is taking forever.

Coachella looks better anyway.

Drum up excitement? | 2/9/2010, 12:40 pm EST

FAIL!

weezer? | 2/9/2010, 12:41 pm EST

weezer at bonnaroo?

::vomits::

mikea | 2/9/2010, 12:42 pm EST

I already know I won’t be attending this year. You’ve gotta do better than 311 and Weezer if Coachella is going to have everyone under the sun performing.

Alison | 2/9/2010, 12:43 pm EST

Oi. The Constellations are terrible. They don’t know what style they want to be. The lead singer definitely pulled some Creed-type theatrics during the final song in their opening set for RJD2.

bonnapoo | 2/9/2010, 12:44 pm EST

this is by far the dumbest thing i have ever seen. The ‘Roo has been dead for a few years now but this whole escapade seals the deal.

alwaysbob | 2/9/2010, 12:46 pm EST

Wakurusa here I come

ryan | 2/9/2010, 12:48 pm EST

lil wayne willl not be there this year he started his one year prison term today!

forrest | 2/9/2010, 12:51 pm EST

wow, i’m definantly not going this year…

whocares | 2/9/2010, 12:53 pm EST

ever since roo 05 it hasnt been the same. it just goes to show you that it’s all about money with these bands. look back at the previous roos and they’re full of good jam bands and no bs rap. i hope this years line up is the one that destroys the festival and no one goes ever again. SELL OUTS!

Jon | 2/9/2010, 12:53 pm EST

How about fucking Isis, Baroness, and The Flaming Lips? All good bands.

ISI | 2/9/2010, 12:54 pm EST

RJD2 was really good in Atlanta…agreed that the Constellations blow …Flaming Lips are the sh*t…Ultra Music Festival, Wakarusa and probably ‘roo here I come!

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 12:54 pm EST

agreed. officially over bonnaroo. so disappointing…used to be the best.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 12:55 pm EST

So far I’m only psyched for Phoenix. I hope Passion Pit will be announced soon!

Justin | 2/9/2010, 12:59 pm EST

Yes i agree. this is so retarded. rumors of lineup coming out last tuesday. then they make it this tuesday, then they make it NOON. now its an all day event like no one has a fuckin life. better start announcing some good bands. DEADMAU5

Mr. Walkway | 2/9/2010, 1:00 pm EST

For the amount of people that go to this and for how much they charge for tickets, they should be able to get alot more quality acts. Show kids unite and boycot bonnapoo! Tho i will admit i do like chromeo and bassnectar.

OH and light houses rule, if u dont like light houses you suck!!!!!

huh? | 2/9/2010, 1:02 pm EST

been to 4 roo’s… dont hate on it like most people… always enjoy myself and most of the time lineup is so diverse there’s something for everyone… that being said… this lineup so far looks really, really bad… see ya at ultra and hornings

wtf | 2/9/2010, 1:03 pm EST

man. roo. why are you doing this? they canceled rothbury so its not like if this lineup sucks balls like the last three lineups we can at least escape to michigan. WTF ROO! get it together. weezer?! — calling all frat boys! how about radiohead?

Jim | 2/9/2010, 1:03 pm EST

Go away Bonnaroo haters…Non Music Fans is all that your are.

Nole | 2/9/2010, 1:04 pm EST

I love all the people saying that the lineup sucks.

Then don’t go!

Plus, that is not even a fourth of the lineup so your judgement sounds a little premature and, to be honest, fake.

I’ll go every year I can because, while I always have a ton of bands I want to see, it is really about the experience. And I love it there. So far I think the line up looks promising.

And as far as “sell out” goes, that is just something people who want to look cool say about bands and festivals that are successful.

anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:04 pm EST

flaming lips are worth it, blues traveler- pretty dece. vagina spektor- gay, 311 only if they play old stuff- and only old stuff- same with weezer… they shouldn’t be paid, all proceeds should go to haiti if this is going to be the full line up…

Jackson | 2/9/2010, 1:05 pm EST

You knew Bonnaroo was over when Bruce Springsteen was the headliner last year, what a disappointment. The artists are just going to get worse and worse from here on out. Bonnaroo has “Jumped The Shark”

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:06 pm EST

If you dont think Bassnectar, Flaming Lips, Mayer Hawthorne, Avett Brothers, Baroness, phoenix, chromeo and neon indian are good, you obviously dont know music. There are still around 60 bands to be announced, chill the fuck out

Boring! | 2/9/2010, 1:06 pm EST

Lineup FAIL

phook | 2/9/2010, 1:07 pm EST

&& agrees

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:08 pm EST

isis, the xx, regina spektor, mmw, flaming lips, avett brothers…these are all good bands. go to coachella if ya want but stop player hatin and start congratulatin.

nona | 2/9/2010, 1:08 pm EST

wow immensly dissapointed bout the flaming lips playing roo. on the plus side jeff beck, xx and fogerty.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:10 pm EST

If you dont think Bassnectar, Flaming Lips, Mayer Hawthorne, Avett Brothers, phoenix, chromeo and neon indian are good, you obviously dont know music. There are still around 60 bands to be announced, chill out

Daniel Ward | 2/9/2010, 1:13 pm EST

It was over when Metallica played. Period. Bonnaroo is just a place for people to go get wasted and maybe see a band they might have liked a song or two of.

pennylane | 2/9/2010, 1:14 pm EST

these are awesome bands.
if you don’t like the music try another festival.

peace and love <3

Ga Girl | 2/9/2010, 1:14 pm EST

I would rather not go to this. Really disappointing how Bonnaroo has turned out. Better luck next year guys. Get some WSP and you will bring back the fans that made Bonnaroo what it used to be in the good ol’ days.

Jah Driver | 2/9/2010, 1:16 pm EST

If you get down and quarrel everyday
You’re saying prayers to the devil, I say
Why not help one another on the way
Make it much easier

Say you just can’t live that negative way
You know what I mean
Make way for the positive day
Cause it’s a new day
New time, new feeling yeah!
Say it’s a new sign
Oh what a new day

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:17 pm EST

THE BLACK KEYS!!

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:17 pm EST

It doesn’t look too bad mainly because of The Lips but Pitchfork is looking better this year and it being a third of the price sounds nice.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 1:17 pm EST

RC MCCOY | 2/9/2010, 1:19 pm EST

RAGWEED!!!! You got to see these guys. Rock N Roll

music fan | 2/9/2010, 1:20 pm EST

Anyone who isn’t excited for The Flaming Lips doesn’t know music…Bonnaroo is gonna be sick and so is Ultra

. | 2/9/2010, 1:22 pm EST

there are some actually really good bands, and still way more to be announced, so yall need to just calm down!

maynerd sanchez | 2/9/2010, 1:23 pm EST

there are so many bands im looking forward to. flaming lips, fogerty, black keys, 311, dave matthews, jeff beck are a few for example. this lineup is already looking better than last year. the chick saying black eyed peas, lady gaga, justin timberlake, and buffet, go to hell. that would be the worst festival ever.

merryprankster | 2/9/2010, 1:24 pm EST

why is everyone complaining about the lineup?? this will make a great Now! That’s What I Call Music 39…oh wait, this is the official bonnaroo lineup??
EPIC FAIL

Lineup Release:worst idea ever | 2/9/2010, 1:26 pm EST

Last year with the lineup hitting at once the excitement was amazing.

Now i am just annoyed. This is taking way too long. The graphics that I am staring at are terrible. The music is repetitive. It seems like they are relying on the fact that most of the people who will being staring at this are stoned and won’t care. However, there is never an excuse for a lack of creativity of this sort when it comes to an organization with ties to the amount of money that they have.

Next year. faster. or if you MUST play this game. better graphics. changing music that gives clues towards bands. just… not this.

boogeroo | 2/9/2010, 1:27 pm EST

Bonnaroo line-up looks weak so far this year…….huge disappointment compared to last year which I believe was the best ever. Coachella looks weak too. Wakarusa looks tight as hell!

Justin | 2/9/2010, 1:29 pm EST

Metallica played an awesome show, actually. How can you honestly hate on one of the best rock bands EVER. daniel ward the douche

Me | 2/9/2010, 1:30 pm EST

I want My Morning Jacket. Now.

name | 2/9/2010, 1:31 pm EST

…you’d think the Biscuits would atleast make all you “to cool” haters happy…

Justin | 2/9/2010, 1:34 pm EST

coachellas lineup is unreal. are you insane? best lineup ive seen since 08 lolla

adam | 2/9/2010, 1:36 pm EST

you all are idiots, this is the best roll out ever and if think this is all a crappy lineup grow a pair of ears i bet none of you have even been too roo

yep | 2/9/2010, 1:42 pm EST

Ultra Music Festival is unreal……

merryprankster | 2/9/2010, 1:42 pm EST

Justin, metallica absolutely BLOWS. who likes a band that sues their fans?? this lineup blows worse than metallica

Justin | 2/9/2010, 1:43 pm EST

ya its not bad so far. hoping for roger waters! and deadmau5!

choo | 2/9/2010, 1:44 pm EST

What the hell. I heard Rush was a possibility and had my hopes high for that. The Blues Travelers are just classic folk and. Pretty weak so far, though. Bassnectar is pretty sick but I’ve never seen live performances. This is seriously not what I expected. They need to get it together.

Justin | 2/9/2010, 1:44 pm EST

i saw them for the music and they put on ahell of a show and played all the old 90s shit. They better get one dj like they do almost every year.

shatcher | 2/9/2010, 1:46 pm EST

dr. dog

choo | 2/9/2010, 1:47 pm EST

Biscuits kick ass.

dj | 2/9/2010, 1:49 pm EST

they always get a few good electronic groups…not just “one dj”

no doubt | 2/9/2010, 1:51 pm EST

its goiong to be a blast

Panichead | 2/9/2010, 1:58 pm EST

So far the only interesting to me seem to be Jeff Beck, Flaming Lips, and Traveler. Looking forward to seeing Soundgarden headline a night. Fogerty is cool also!

Yim Yames | 2/9/2010, 1:59 pm EST

MMJ please.

steve | 2/9/2010, 2:00 pm EST

Lame, lame, lame…….Go to the smaller fests that are local to you.

A_Non_A_Mouse | 2/9/2010, 2:00 pm EST

THE BLACK KEYS!!!

Choo | 2/9/2010, 2:08 pm EST

DJ Zany would be ridiculous. Agree? Disagree? Or anyone from the Ropleladder Compilation Album. Some Grateful Dead would be nice (existing members). This is still weak, I like the music. It’s all decent. Just not above and beyond, yet. Anyone going to Gathering of the Vibes? The lineup is still TBA but it was great last year. Dark Star Orchestra, Moe, Bob Wier, CSN, George Clinton and P Funk, etc.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 2:11 pm EST

only 2 acts worth seeing fogherty and jeff beck

Ron | 2/9/2010, 2:14 pm EST

You guys are funny. Jimmy Cliff was just announced… DMB… Thievery Corporation… Flaming Lips playing Dark Side… this is a GREAT lineup so far, and it’s not even done yet. Don’t look at fests as “either/or” – there are plenty of good ones out there. Just go to one you like, and have fun. Stop hating.

haha | 2/9/2010, 2:18 pm EST

GWAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HIPPIES RUNNNN

disapointment so far. | 2/9/2010, 2:19 pm EST

whoever the hell is in charge of acts needs a reality check. coachella is shitting all over this line up.

Roobound09 | 2/9/2010, 2:24 pm EST

Where’s my Soundgarden or AC/DC? We need some Power Rock, how about Rush? Them Crooked Vultures, Rustic Overtones, Martin Sexton, Jimmy Buffet, Soulive, Stevie Wonder, how about some horns!!!
Thus far, the lineup is below average, I hope they holding in the big acts for later tonight to announce!

michael | 2/9/2010, 2:32 pm EST

bunch of pretentious wankers all of you. this is gonna be awesome. the xx?? chromeo! flaming lips, phoenix, norah jones, regina spektor i cannot waaaaaaiiiittt

so far so lame | 2/9/2010, 2:46 pm EST

the jay-zees, kanyes and kid cudis need to get lost from these events, much less be anywhere near headlining. give me a break. white people trying to be down again?

anothermichael | 2/9/2010, 2:52 pm EST

agreed. bunch of haters. If you dont like the line-up then go to another festival. Bonnaroo gets a large veriety of acts because it doesnt want to end up like rothbury.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 2:54 pm EST

FUCKING HILLBILLIES. FUCKING BALLS IN MY ASS HOLE. WAT A LINE UP. IT SUCKS. IM GOING TO SHUV A BRICK UP MY ASS NOW. WEEZER MAKES MY PISS HOLE BLEED.

Lolla | 2/9/2010, 2:56 pm EST

You all need to be prepared for Lollapalooza this year. It will bring the dominance.

Weak | 2/9/2010, 2:59 pm EST

Pretty weak lineup. Although, throw Roger Waters into this and it gets a bit more interesting. Either way, I will be venturing to either Coachella or Lollapalooza most likely.

Marcus_aurelius | 2/9/2010, 2:59 pm EST

tired of sitting here refreshing every 6 minutes. horrible idea. i know what they thought it would be, but we dont wanna wait anymore to be surprised. just put it out already. ur marketing stretagy has failed

MMW | 2/9/2010, 3:03 pm EST

not the best line up ever, in my opinion, some good acts, most i’m not interested in, but whatever, no big deal. but for anyone who decides to go, MEDESKI MARTIN AND WOOD will be an act to check out, and no one has mentioned them yet. seriously, if you go, check them out

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 3:06 pm EST

Bruce,DMB,GWAR,Radiohead,Tool, The Police, Jay-Z & Kanye. Bonnapoo!

I could sell 80,000 tix with 4 bands WSP,Dead,Phish & Ween.

10x’s better than any line up since 2004

brian | 2/9/2010, 3:08 pm EST

wow, average from below average acts from every genre. cool?

MusicFAN | 2/9/2010, 3:10 pm EST

Radiohead is the best band Bonnarooo has ever seen. Phish, WSP, Ween(who???), and the “Dead” (haha yeah right the dead, um Jerry?) should bow down.

Mikeyroo25 | 2/9/2010, 3:18 pm EST

This is going to be a great Bonnaroo so all you haters need to chill… Jay Z, Black Keys, The Lips, The Avett Bros., Dr. Dog for cryin out loud, Phoenix, Neon Indian, Tokyo Police Club, Dave. Come on you guys this is awesome. I resent whoever said RJD2 sucked. You are smoking crack I just saw him at Skullys in Columbus, Oh. He is tight.

Harry Hood | 2/9/2010, 3:19 pm EST

this lineup IS terrible so far, but it sure as hell beats coachella. Lucky for bonnaroo, the disco biscuits never disappoint and id pay the 250 just to go see them again. I hope they announce some better bands as the night continues. This to adam who thinks this lineup is awesome and nobody whos posting here as ever been to the roo. Ive been six years in a row and this is the worst ever lineup by far they just continue to sell out and takes shits on all their fans…. bring back the jamband fest i once knew and loved…

merryprankster | 2/9/2010, 3:25 pm EST

yo…yeah, it’s spelled furthur, apparently you have no clue where the name even came from

Harry Hood | 2/9/2010, 3:27 pm EST

Radiohead can $uck my left nut!
Saw them at the roo and people were heading for the exits quick.

Tried to give them a shot but, they were putting me to sleep.

Lighting was the best part. Sad

to whocares | 2/9/2010, 4:15 pm EST

whocares, what the fuck are you talking about. I said nothing about allman brothers or the dead. Sorry, “The Dead” right now is not The Dead. Without Jerry, there is no Dead. Half your post doesnt even make sense. I know who started music festivals, but that means NOTHING. World class festivals are more than just jam bands dumb ass.

blah | 2/9/2010, 4:18 pm EST

yo, I feel sorry for you and your musical taste.

Justin | 2/9/2010, 4:19 pm EST

Coachellas lineup is INSANE. your crazy if u dont think so. This lineup is getting better and better tho.. im not gonna be disappointed at the end of it.

Kathleen | 2/9/2010, 4:23 pm EST

Where is the electronic stuff? LCD Soundsystem, M83, Dan Deacon..Hot CHIP..and where is Pavement?!This lineup release every 5 minutes is driving me nuts.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 4:24 pm EST

Jay-Z? Weezer? I thought this was the Bonnaroo line-up page not a TRL Countdown Review. Even if Paul Simon plays it’s the weakest line-up in year. Dave Mathews has be garbage for years…Get Macca!

joey | 2/9/2010, 4:25 pm EST

the roo used to be awesome, yet each passing year just gets more upsetting, and this whole lineup release is really agravating. sorry bonnaroo but i wont be seeing you this year…time for more humble smaller festivals

Paul Bodee | 2/9/2010, 4:26 pm EST

does anyone think Nickelback will come? i love them

panicfan | 2/9/2010, 4:40 pm EST

@ Paul Bodee

hahah seriously nickelback? i mean bonnaroo has been sucky lately but they’d NEVER play nickelback. that would be a cruel joke. A lama dies everytime nickeback is played.

Still waitin... | 2/9/2010, 4:40 pm EST

Arcade Fire and My Morning Jacket

run for your life | 2/9/2010, 4:42 pm EST

Might as well bring fall-out boy and other future sell-outs to the stage. Don’t get your hopes up

Castle | 2/9/2010, 4:43 pm EST

They really need to add Roger waters and The Roots

purple hayes | 2/9/2010, 4:47 pm EST

alternate = coachella in cal.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 4:47 pm EST

everybody saying this sucks doesn’t know what the hell you are talking about. seriously, there is something for everybody here. Yes, Coachella has an amazing line-up, but this isn’t the Roo’s entire line-up and there are already some big names on this. I don’t think this is disappointing at all. very solid.

boone town | 2/9/2010, 4:48 pm EST

you complainers are just the whiny people I don’t want to see at Bonnaroo.

No More Roo- A Random Burner | 2/9/2010, 4:54 pm EST

Lotus has announced that they are playing as well… Too bad the line up sucks so much… Only a few artists that i’d like to see this year… aka… only doing Burning Man

Paul Bodee | 2/9/2010, 4:59 pm EST

have you ever seen nickelback live? they actually rock

Missy | 2/9/2010, 5:00 pm EST

I agree boone town.

jam bands R lame | 2/9/2010, 5:00 pm EST

This line up rocks! All we need now is the Offspring, Creed and some other semi-popular has been 90’s group and it’s complete!

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 5:03 pm EST

The Who!!!!! Bring some old good shit back!!!

Kayakker | 2/9/2010, 5:05 pm EST

If you don’t like Black Keys, you don’t know music.

ye | 2/9/2010, 5:23 pm EST

the black keys? the d? 311? I’m down

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 5:24 pm EST

there is absolutely nothing special or bonnaroo-esque about this lineup. its as if they said, how can we make a decent music festival where a decent amount of people show up, and have a decent time

Jerry | 2/9/2010, 5:29 pm EST

Come on Nada Surf

aaa | 2/9/2010, 5:31 pm EST

There are a lot more people performing that aren’t listed here. As for not the biggest names playing…who gives a shit. Most of the time the best talent lies in the lesser known bands such as local natives and phoenix. Weezer is awesome, chromeo, avett brothers, ingrid michaelson, regina spektor, the flaming lips, damien marley, dr. dog, manchester orchestra, are all awesome. No real need to complain.

aaa | 2/9/2010, 5:32 pm EST

oh and don’t forget the dead weather!!

Hamm I Am | 2/9/2010, 5:33 pm EST

Apparently, Japandroid and The National are SO good, they are each playing twice. CAUSE THEY ARE LISTED TWICE@@@!!!!WHY ARE WE YELLING?

whocares | 2/9/2010, 5:34 pm EST

dude u said the Dead, um radiohead should should bow dow to the Dead, are u a dumbass. half my posts dont make sense, i made one before this so do some math smart guy and how is this a world fest since they dont advertise it all over the world. read a book man and find out what a good festival is, woodstock monterrey pop, what kind of bands played there? more than half of the people on here are saying the roo isnt the same. why dont u go listen to ur mtv and radio bands and eat shit douche bag, u dont know good music and u prob have never been to a festival. jam bands made the roo and will always make it, not indie rock

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 5:36 pm EST

I know a lot of people are upset about bonnaroo not being anything but jam bands… but I think it’s great there is more then just that. Yes it brought bonnaroo together but there are still jam bands there…Fuck phish played twice last year! All of these different people come together to enjoy music. A lot of you people are acting like babies. Enjoy another festival if you must.

BoojiBoy (aka pepperromeo) | 2/9/2010, 5:40 pm EST

Coachella! PIL, DEVO, 2 manyDJ’s! Orbital, Sly & the Family Stone, LCD, Gorillaz, Echoe & The Bunnymen and the list goes on… Roo better get their shit in gear because in my opinion their just humpin’ away at the same old artists. The only thing they have of intrest is Chromeo w/ guest Daryl Hall. That will be a show!

Kathleen | 2/9/2010, 5:44 pm EST

UGHHH kings of leon!!

Geoffery Kitty Kitty Kitty | 2/9/2010, 5:45 pm EST

What a boring lineup.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 5:48 pm EST

fucking kings of leon!!! rise against!!! when did the fratbags gain controll of bonnaroo? fuck that. im not going allowing my ears anywhere within earshot of sex on fire. and why is the only amazing band on the lineup playing nothing but covers? i repeat, fuck that!

junedoggie | 2/9/2010, 5:51 pm EST

Clutch, Black Keys, Isis, Avett Brothers, Kings of Leon, Flaming Lips covering Dark Side of the Moon. That’s awesome. Sounds like a good time.

hmm | 2/9/2010, 5:54 pm EST

Micknasty | 2/9/2010, 5:58 pm EST

This is one of the best lineups ‘roo has ever had. You are high if you think otherwise. They tackle every genre this year. If you don’t agree don’t come.

BoojiBoy (aka pepperromeo) | 2/9/2010, 6:01 pm EST

sweet. I won’t.

Wil C. | 2/9/2010, 6:08 pm EST

Kings of Loen

Jimmy Cliff | 2/9/2010, 6:11 pm EST

Do you guys know if I’m going to perform? Oh wait, I’m listed twice.

wtf | 2/9/2010, 6:12 pm EST

jam bands?? didnt know bonna had gone indie rock/ MTV extension…thank god for the biscuits. Get umphrey’s and biscuits to do a late night pink floyd sesh after flaming lips performance and i think i’d die.

Justin | 2/9/2010, 6:12 pm EST

very skeptical at first. This lineup is just getting better and better. i fuckin KNEW DEADMAU5 WOULD GO. I LOVE LIFEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.IF you havent seen him live, just FUCKIN WAIT FOR A FESTIVAL SHOW..AHHHHH

now i just hope KOL didnt steal one of the main headliner spots…theyre not old enough. i love them, but not respected enough. ROGER WATERSS

Parker | 2/9/2010, 6:13 pm EST

I think Bonnaroo goes in three year cycles. 2003, 2006, and 2009 had the best lineups by far. Trust me, I’ve been to all of them.

Even if you just judge by the headliners, those years were the best.

This year is not looking good…but neither did 2008 and I still had a great time.

Of course this is just my opionion.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 6:15 pm EST

You people are fucking stupid.

LOL | 2/9/2010, 6:17 pm EST

You people are FULL of culture aren’t you? Pathetic. This line up is one of the best I’ve seen because there are bands in there that put out some mind numbing music but you people are too infatuated with Daughtry and The Jonas Brothers, aren’t you?

XYZ | 2/9/2010, 6:22 pm EST

Jam bands suck. I’m glad you filthy hippies will be staying home this year. Go reek of patchouli elsewhere.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 6:23 pm EST

You have got to be kidding me!!! Jayz the top headliner at Bonnaroo??? Where is Roger Waters, Rush or the Who! I predict 20,000 on hand for this joke…

surforia | 2/9/2010, 6:28 pm EST

GWAR is playing the ‘Roo!!! This totally made my day. Can’t wait to see a bunch of hippies get sprayed with fake blood.

Penis | 2/9/2010, 6:28 pm EST

What jonas brothers are playing…NO FUCKING WAY?

! | 2/9/2010, 6:33 pm EST

hahah what the fuck , Such a huge festival, ought to be able to do much better with the line-up! No tickets for me and I live next door! Give your fans some really great shows and double your &&&&&&&! Ex. Clapton, Black-eyed Peas, Lady Ga-Ga, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Buffet, etc………..! Who picks the music anyway?- no I dont think so

GPGDS | 2/9/2010, 6:39 pm EST

Where’s the Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad in this line-up?

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 6:49 pm EST

thanks finally some1 says deadweather

k-town | 2/9/2010, 6:50 pm EST

To all the haters: Why do you hate? You can’t see every band anyway so why not choose from the 60 plus bands and just enjoy the music. The way I see it, if you can’t pick 8 or 9 bands you’d like to see from this list then you simply don’t know anything about music. Bonnaroo is four days of amazing people, experience and culture. Go back to high school and quit trying so hard to get your voice heard if you’ve got nothing positive to say. ROCK ON!! Besides, how many living legends have you seen live?

ECLECTIC, definition: selecting or choosing from various sources.

Hollywood | 2/9/2010, 6:52 pm EST

Why is Dubnasty not on this lineup? I think a late night robot party would blow everyones mind at Roo.

Eyo | 2/9/2010, 6:52 pm EST

Isis, Baroness, The Melvins, The National, Clutch, and Jay-Z. Yes.

Bonnabroken | 2/9/2010, 6:55 pm EST

I cant believe its this bad. Maybe 5 bands I would want to see. What the fuck happened to the jam festival? I guess Roo will find out how well frat boys clean up after them selves this year…

See you in Arkansas.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 6:59 pm EST

Craaaaaaaaap!!!!!!!!!!!

Kel | 2/9/2010, 7:08 pm EST

The lineup looks great. And its great to see all the people bitching about the lack of “jam bands” The less rainbow kids at this festival the better as far as I’m concerned.

XYZ | 2/9/2010, 7:15 pm EST

So excited about DMB and KOL. Is there Evian available at Bonnaroo so I can spritz myself if my popped collar polo becomes too warm?

spr | 2/9/2010, 7:21 pm EST

THE JACKET NEEDS TO BE THERE OR THIS WILL BE A FAILURE

chelsa | 2/9/2010, 7:22 pm EST

this lineup is really awesome, look at the hiphop they have going. kid cudi, jay-z, wale, nas!, jay electronica etc etc etc its about time a festival pays attention to good hiphop! and it’s just not a hipster music fest, like all the others. dmb, phoenix, stevie wonder, dr. dog, the national and so many others look good to me!

Annoyed | 2/9/2010, 7:25 pm EST

Yo, what is this?

Where’s MGMT – I’m really disappointed as of yet… So far I am only digging Neon Indian – Everything else is tragic.

Hunter | 2/9/2010, 7:29 pm EST

This is a solid lineup. Deadmau5 is hands down one of the best live shows! Acts totally worth seeing include:Jay-Z, Dave Matthews Band,
Kings of Leon, Stevie Wonder,
Weezer, Flaming Lips covering Dark Side of the Moon, Tenacious D,
Jeff Beck, John Fogerty, 311, bassnectar, disco biscuits, blues travellar, dropkick murphies, MMW Mayor hawthorne, jimmy cliff, Thievery Corp, Tokyo Police Club, the melvins, clutch, michael franti, lotus, and gwar roflcakes hhhaahaha.
If you cannot have a good time with these artists well then I pity your narrow minded tastes in music. Ooohh nooo no Phish its the end of the world boohoo. Lots of great acts and you know they add two or three more big names. The lips are doing floyd for rofl’s sake what else do you need???

jeff fogerty | 2/9/2010, 7:31 pm EST

I’m way better than my stupid brother John.

chelsea | 2/9/2010, 7:34 pm EST

Frankly…I’m pissed off!! There is no possible way I can see everything I want to see in that little of a time frame! :D

Hunter | 2/9/2010, 7:35 pm EST

and the black keys even if they are notorious for cutting sets early they wail. God you people blow if it aint on the radio and produced by disney you dont listen to it or like it. There is an entire world of music outside of the dial in your car. TRY IT OUT you candy asses.

wayne n friends | 2/9/2010, 7:37 pm EST

Spoken like a bunch of people who have never seen the flaming lips live. And whoever wants lady gaga there, your so sad no comment is needed.

Wow | 2/9/2010, 7:38 pm EST

This lineup is going well. I’m not sure why everyone is bitching. Its Bonnaroo, hippy, drugs, and a well rounded music experience. Everyone saying oh shit wheres MGMT or i want Lady Ga Ga can go fuck off I don’t want you at Bonnaroo.

roo'er | 2/9/2010, 7:39 pm EST

I’m pretty happy with the lineup thus far. THE FLAMING MOTHER FUCKING LIPS!!! I’d like to see MMJ there again this year. As long as Kanye doesn’t show his face there ever again, i’m cool. C’mon June!!!

Kandice | 2/9/2010, 7:40 pm EST

I just love being being able to see a variety of music in one spot. Who would want to see ALL jam bands? I am happiest to see The Dead Weather, as I am a huge Jack White fan, Tori Amos, Black Keys are excellent, John Prine also excellent, Weezer, 311, Norah Jones, Tenacious D, Stevie Wonder and all though I am not a fan…Jay Z etc etc. Of course there could always be more. I think they just try to create a different feel each year but also keep a sense of variety. I wish MGMT were coming back. Last year Portugal The Man was the first show I saw and it was one of the best, I had never even heard of them before.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 7:44 pm EST

Worst. Lineup. Ever.

This festival used to be a great thing. They should have reached back to their roots after Kanya became the laughing stock of the festival. Where are the Phish and Grateful Dead members.

What is this JAY-Z bull. I like hip-hop but he does not belong at Roo. Bring back the Roots or Galactic.

I guess I will just go to All Good this year. To bad Rothbury went under.

Roo Bound | 2/9/2010, 7:45 pm EST

You people are crazy – if you want all jam bands go to wakarusa. I like an eclectic mix and I’m not too cool to admit it!! This is one of the best lineups EVER…. Stevie Wonder, DMB,KOL,Phoenix,
Flaming Lips,The Dead Weather,Jimmy Cliff, Damien Marley,Disco Biscuits,JayZ,Dropkick Murphys,Jeff Beck,Blues Traveler,Avett Brothers,Tori Amos,Ingrid Michaelson,MedeskiMartinWood,3 11, Manchester Orchestra,CrossCanadian Ragweed,Black Keys,Thievery Corp,Zac Brown,They Might Be Giants…..ALL in the same place on the same weekend. How will I see all I want to see?! AND they keep coming. Great lineup!!!!!

dan | 2/9/2010, 7:48 pm EST

i think its funny people hate on it so much… like ohh my god your sooo cool u were there 5 years ago… who cares… if u dont like bands like 311 then dont go see them, i wont…there are always like 8 other acts goin on at the same time… and if u really dont like it, then just party by ur tent… id prob pay 250 to just party with 80,000 poeple for a weekend…. see all you guys there!

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 7:50 pm EST

you people suck…closed minded bastards

Danny | 2/9/2010, 7:54 pm EST

I REALLY wish they could have bought Stevie Brock ,Jesse McCartney, or Danny Gokey! I dont mind some of these people over half these bands i dont know…but Jay-Z yall gotta be kidding!!!

merryprankster | 2/9/2010, 7:55 pm EST

alright, les claypool confirmed

Meezy | 2/9/2010, 7:57 pm EST

you people cant be serious.
there is so many amazing bands there, Dave Matthews Band
Kings of Leon
Stevie Wonder
Phoenix
Black Keys,
that alone is fucking amazing!
dont like it dont go

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 8:01 pm EST

I can just hear it all starting again like Kanye… Jay-z sucks Jay-z sucks Jay-z sucks…

corey | 2/9/2010, 8:05 pm EST

Yes Dan, Ill be seeing you there too. I think this is a much better lineup than even last year. I usually skip a lot of the big bands but i will be all over Weezer, Dead Weather and the Black Keys. And with the silent disco and a four day non stop party i never end up catching all the bands i want to anyway. Bonnnnnaroooo!

atx | 2/9/2010, 8:12 pm EST

I can’t believe how many people are hating on this lineup. After I read it I almost shit my pants it was so good. Bonnaroo and similar music festivals aren’t supposed to be all huge international headlining acts. I just read so many comments wishing Timberlake, Pink, Lady Gaga, and the Black eyed peas were going. Are you fucking joking? Is KISSFM the only music you ever listen to? They’re about finding new up and coming artists and listening to something different. If you’ve never heard of Disco Biscuits, Bassnectar, Phoenix, Deadmau5, Rebelution, then damn, that sucks for you, because they put on some of the best shows you’ll ever see. Oh well, more room for us :D

Dr. Lanceford | 2/9/2010, 8:13 pm EST

Why all the high school / Frat house music? its going to be a bunch of pop collar douchebags. It better not mean i cannot find my “meds”

DOC | 2/9/2010, 8:13 pm EST

This will be my sixth year, and like many have said this is just the first line up. We have many GREAT bands to enjoy so far and there will be many more to come. If you don’t like the way things are looking then go spend $25-50 and see one or two bands that you like and probable have seen a dozen times, or spend $250 and have a chance to cram in as many bands as your heart desires. This is a MUSIC FESTIVAL! Its the perfect time to experience bands you you have and haven’t heard of and maybe even see some bands that won’t be around much longer.

SteveL | 2/9/2010, 8:14 pm EST

Holy shit Stevie Wonder! NICE.

So far, the lineup is solid.
But we are missing some serious Jam BANDS.
Give me Allmans or the Dead PLEASE!

PiNkY sLIm | 2/9/2010, 8:15 pm EST

MELVINS.

Kevin | 2/9/2010, 8:18 pm EST

This will be legit no matter what, black keys, dr dog, avett brothers, the lips, blitzen trapper, the dead weather, disco biscuits, tenacious d, john fogerty, stevie wonder. I mean how can you go wrong with that. That is so diverse and they are all good plus there are tons of other good bands. weezer and kings of leon can suck my dick but If they get my morning jacket and umphreys or moe or something this will be soo good

Peter | 2/9/2010, 8:20 pm EST

DEADMAU5, awesome, MMW, DISCO BISCUITS, flaming lips covering floyd, and how about damein marley Feat. NAS

Kevin | 2/9/2010, 8:20 pm EST

oh shit les claypool too! now that is something

FYI | 2/9/2010, 8:29 pm EST

You people are retarded, do you not notice the scheduling of the bands played, when the schedule comes out, I guarentee that you will not be able to see your favorite bands when they are all playing at the exact same time.

April | 2/9/2010, 8:32 pm EST

k-town, you said exactly what was on my mind.

joey | 2/9/2010, 8:33 pm EST

If it looks like crap and it sounds like crap, then it must be crap!!! Worst lineup ever!!!!!!!!!!!

anonymous | 2/9/2010, 8:37 pm EST

Where is Roger Waters, Rush, The Who or Roger Hodgson??? This is the worst lineup since Bonnaroo started; I predict the farm will be less than half full. Bummer!

YAA | 2/9/2010, 8:41 pm EST

I am going to pass on this, and just catch String Cheese Incident, panic (widespread not that OTHER one), and Phish….

Medeski, martin and wood would be sick, but my guess is that half the people reading this article dont even know who they are and are looking for a link to taylor swift….

Vicki | 2/9/2010, 8:48 pm EST

There are a few roses among the thorns but overall MAJOR FESTIVAL FAIL!!Unless someone pulls a rabbit out of the hat soon,Roo 2010 is a bust!

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 8:50 pm EST

you guys are crazy.. there’s definitely gems in there:

jeff beck, dead weather, lcd, bassnectar, deadmau5, neon indian, dr dog, tinariwin etc

get over it

ChristyBean | 2/9/2010, 8:56 pm EST

ohmygosh! this lineup is off the chain insane. 2010 will be my third year at bonnaroo… and every year i think “it can’t get any better than this…” and then it does. i am jumping up and down i am so excited!!

holy crap! | 2/9/2010, 9:07 pm EST

terrible!!! where are the mf headliners? did they forget???? all b acts! mmj? waters? U2? tool? even lez zepp woul dbe a treat!! PUKE!! PASS!!! PUKE, PUKE, PUKE!!!!

BPH311 | 2/9/2010, 9:12 pm EST

Where is 311???

Zach | 2/9/2010, 9:13 pm EST

yeah, the lineup isnt the best, but you gotta give Roo some props for variety. Jay-Z and the Flaming Lips, Stevie Wonder and Tenacious D, sounds pretty amazing to me.

ChristyBeanIsRetarded | 2/9/2010, 9:13 pm EST

ChristyBean, if you likethis lineup, you have officially smoked yourself retarded. P.U.K.E.

ChristyBeanIsRetarded | 2/9/2010, 9:15 pm EST

Only band they forgot is Creed.. .THAT would officially make it the worst lineup eva

wahh | 2/9/2010, 9:20 pm EST

where the fuck did 311 go!?!?!?!

fuck hippies | 2/9/2010, 9:23 pm EST

fuck jam bands and fuck all you neo-hippies that are bitching about the lack of jam bands. there are only like 5 “jam bands” that have any credibility right now and you want to talk about frat boy music? the only people that listen to jam bands are neo-hippies and frat boys. if you were a real hippy then you wouldnt be posting on the internet. everyone knows hippies don’t believe in computers.

fuck all the weezer haters as well. the blue album and pinkerton are 2 of the best rock albums of the last 20 years.

“oh it’s on mtv so i fucking hate it because im a rebel” fuck everyone that thinks like that. if it’s good music then yeah it will get noticed. you people who automatically don’t like music just because it’s on mtv are the real conformist. you are like hot topic, conforming to non-conformity.

atx | 2/9/2010, 9:25 pm EST

haha this is pathetic. the people here, that is, not the lineup. They clearly have not heard of any of these bands and aren’t even willing to give them a chance. There are at least 7 on that list that are headlining and selling out almost everywhere they go so I’m not sure why people are complaining about headliners.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 9:27 pm EST

They Might Be Giants is the greatest band on the planet…

hands down.

puke fest 2010 = epic fail! | 2/9/2010, 9:29 pm EST

id rather be in prison w/ little wayne being “spoon fed” than at puke fest 2010 listening to this crap!

I heard they are adding aerosmith, creed, vanilla ice, just vanilli, billy ocean, rick ashtley, color me bad , bel biv w/o devo, and jamie lane solo smoking crack and eating a hoagie.

ATXIsAlsoRetarded | 2/9/2010, 9:34 pm EST

Enjoy the festival ATX, you and the other 8 people that are going this year

LooT | 2/9/2010, 9:40 pm EST

Where do you get the nerve? DMB, Weezer, Kings of Leon alone are a great show! It really blows my mind that people have nothing better to do than talk shit about something some many other people(who actually know about having a good time, not even talking about party scene at the Roo)enjoy! i hope all of you feel like you put your 2 cents in and voiced your opinion, so everyone will know not to attend because a few dull, uninterested people think that you have to have fuckin black eyed peas, timberlake, pink, lady gaga, and jimmy buffet there to get your monies worth! THANKS GUYS! CRISIS AVERTED!

mcs | 2/9/2010, 9:52 pm EST

biscuits, keys, chromeo w/ Daryl hall?? I just came

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 9:53 pm EST

aww edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros! i’m liking this lineup so far

eshh | 2/9/2010, 10:11 pm EST

lineup is great. gives everyone a few large staples from different genres, as well as provide a large amount of bands for people to discover. think about monterey and woodstock. its not like some of the bands there were as big as they are now. if your going to be all angry, dont come and ruin the environment of roo. that aside let’s hope for some neil young! furthur would be great as well

I Try | 2/9/2010, 10:15 pm EST

Where the fuck is Macy Gray

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 10:16 pm EST

really?…getting 5 people to boycott is not going to do anything…if you people would have waited for the entire lineup and kept your bitching to a minimum you would see that it gets better and better…I also agree that the lineup this year is not as good as it usually is but its only the initial lineup there are going to be more performers

and bonnaroo is a lot about experience too…its effing great and its not like you are coherent the entire time to recognize that some of the music sucks anyway…its not like you are going to have a bad time unless you try to have one…and even then I dont see that being possible

get over yourselves

getbuzzed | 2/9/2010, 10:18 pm EST

I find it funny that the ones who have religiously gone to Roo since 2002 and who used to tell other people that they’re closeminded are now the closeminded ones.

Bonnaroo, as other people have put it, is an eclectic festival, full of diversity. Find some new acts, see some old ones .And some people are complaining about KoL: they didn’t even like their last album, and hate playing “Sex On Fire.” I’m sure they’re gonna be awesome.

Plus Bonnaroo isn’t just about the acts, but also the atmosphere. Cheer up, it’s a great lineup, probably only 60% complete. Be flexible.

Billy | 2/9/2010, 10:21 pm EST

We trusted Bonnaroo to come through and bought earlier today. I’m having serious buyer’s remorse. If I can unload our two tix, I won’t hesitate. Disappointing.

TINARIWEN | 2/9/2010, 10:24 pm EST

Listen to Tinariwen! You will not regret it

purple hayes | 2/9/2010, 10:53 pm EST

just have both fests on the same days, then the bonners can do what they do without bothering the coachellis

Ish360 | 2/9/2010, 11:01 pm EST

Just like with any Bonnaroo the lineup has some great stuff and some shit. However, here is the key…the schedule!!! the lineup means nothing until the schedule and any additions are announced. I’ve seen festivals with only 10 good bands and because of the schedule it turned out to be awesome and I have seen festivals with dozens of great bands but everyone overlapped. Again it’s not the best lineup but if you pick out the best acts and create your own schedule in your head you will see it’s pretty damn solid.

Anonymous | 2/9/2010, 11:22 pm EST

Dude, this is the worse lineup yet…I don’t want to go to bonnaroo just for Flaming Lips Darkside of the Moon, and the Melvins…

Ryan | 2/9/2010, 11:22 pm EST

I like the headliners but stop bringing all these shitty whiny indie bands to bonnaroo. half these bands aren’t even good live, and DMB is going to bring a shitstorm of tools to this fest.

BRING BACK ROTHBURY

fendergirl | 2/10/2010, 12:03 am EST

I think its a good lineup so far. I’m excited to have all the diverse genres in my backyard. I think all the culture is good for our little town. Everyone need to just enjoy all the great talent that is brought together and maybe try listening to something new. You might just like it.

kenkesey | 2/10/2010, 12:10 am EST

geeze, yeah there are tons of bands here that i’m not too particularly fond of but we’ll all be having a grand ol’ time so quit the complaining. i think all music is gewd.

road trip bust | 2/10/2010, 12:44 am EST

Driving 14 hours for these so called “headliners” was supposed to be my summer vacation.
But when did DMB and KOL become all-embracing acts? We need some classic headliners that aren’t overplayed and overpaid.

I will probably suck up my pride and go for many others(melvins, xx, nas, rebelution, deadmau5, pheonix, nitty gritty), but I can’t help but feel I wanted a can’t-catch-my-breath lump-in-my-throat excitement type of feeling today…
…Miranda Lambert..Wtf?

purplehayes chgo. il. | 2/10/2010, 1:14 am EST

just enjoy it no-matter where your at. everyone has different tastes. what ever works for u. its what u make it ! ! we aint here for long pal so go rock

anon | 2/10/2010, 1:14 am EST

Jay-Z is the best rapper of all-time the $290 dollar price tag is worth this show alone. Anyone who doesn’t agree is absolutely clueless.

Justin | 2/10/2010, 1:43 am EST

First off the lineup is a solid lineup, but some of the headliners should not be MAIN headliners. i dont know whos gonna be on the main time slot each night, but im guessing DMB, KOL, Stevie Wonder, or Jay Z.

Now KOL is too young to be a huge headliner. love the band, but too young.

DMB is good for a jam band sunday closer.

Stevie wonder…again good, but comparable to last years al green, wilco, beastie boys.

Jay Z can headline..he has enough loyal fans, hes paid, and well respected. So there is one headliner spot open in my eyes. and thers only 88 bands announced whereas last year there were aboue 130-135

ddfsf | 2/10/2010, 4:05 am EST

My first Bonnaroo !

Excited for…

The Black Keys
Jeff Beck
Dropkick Murphys
Against Me!
GWAR
The Melvins
Gaslight Anthem
They Might Be Giants

Anyone who’s got a problem with ANY of these acts holler at me! I guarentee I’ll fuck you up!!

Chadelles | 2/10/2010, 6:49 am EST

I want my Rothburry 09 back. Jay-z are you kidding me. Terrible line-up and I hads such high hopes. Where the Who or neil young? What about Sts9 or gov’t mule. WTF Roo! Gonna be Douche city

Spaff | 2/10/2010, 10:14 am EST

What the fuck happened to 311!? They would have one of the best live shows there. I was pumped when people started saying that 311 was gonna be there, and I kept watching Bonnaroo’s myspace page only to give my hopes up. Bonnaroo still has a kick ass lineup, but it would be 1000 times better if 311 would perform.

glenn beck | 2/10/2010, 10:17 am EST

worst fest lineup EVER!!!!DMB IS DEAD!!!!! Sorry stevie rocked 35 years ago.. COACHELLA here i cum all over ur face buttarooo

Easy E | 2/10/2010, 10:26 am EST

This is obviously a great line-up or they wouldnt be making millions bc sooo many people are going! I think this is the best line-up they have had in awhile! More people will be there then ever!!!

emort | 2/10/2010, 10:28 am EST

It looks like this is a pretty solid mix. Am i the only one who’s psyched about Daryl Hall and Chromeo??????? Stevie Wonder should also be really good….wish i didn’t live so far away in the northeast…..

Easy E | 2/10/2010, 10:29 am EST

And Jay-Z concert tickets alone are around 200 bucks! like people are stupid this is a steal of a deal for the line-up and the price!

emort | 2/10/2010, 10:31 am EST

this looks like a pretty solid mix. Am i the only one who is psyched about Daryl Hall????? Stevie Wonder should be great too….wish i didn’t live so far away in the northeast….

HIPPYCRITES | 2/10/2010, 10:32 am EST

what/ do you want to see the same bands every year?! i mean c’mon! DMB, stevie, avett bros, john fogerty, jeff beck, tori amos, jimmy cliff, norah jones, nitty gritty dirt band, CLUTCH, muthafuckin D! not to mention GWAR! thats a pretty mixed lineup to me! now if they add the crowes or rush or even ABB id definetly be stoked!

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 10:38 am EST

The Flaming Lips covered “Dark Side of the Moon” in Oklahoma City on New Years Eve. Check it out on YouTube, it looks and sounds really bad.

Otherwise I heard Jay-Z raged Glastonbury a few years back and should do the same here. Overall though this lineup is very uneventful compared to years past.

Easy E | 2/10/2010, 10:42 am EST

This really is the best line-up ever and hopefully itll keep the Tards and the hairy girls away! hahaha and there will always be good meds there!

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 10:45 am EST

Saw DMB at Roo in ‘05. They tore the roof off on friday night! However they have been lacking since Leroi passed…

roofan | 2/10/2010, 2:31 pm EST

you guys are nuts.. this is a solid lineup and I for one am excited. Been to bonnaroo three of the last five years and every time is unforgettable, and this year looks to be no different. crossing my fingers for some late additions..maybe my morning jackett

yaya | 2/10/2010, 2:36 pm EST

i don’t know what everyone is smoking (probably alot of stuff) but this is a sick lineup…sure not everyones going to be happy but honestly i think there is something for everyone here. um kings and dmb, jay z, wow the list goes on..

TBRAND | 2/10/2010, 2:47 pm EST

YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS,JEFF BECK IS ALL YOU NEED

Meh | 2/10/2010, 3:16 pm EST

The point people are trying to make is that you can see Jay Z, KOL and DMB pretty much whenever you want. They are nothing unique. This is a fest built in jam band tradition and outside of the Biscuits, where is the heavy influence? People go to Bonna to see jam bands. If they wanted to see decent mainstream rock groups, they could probably find them a lot cheaper and closer to home.

Mike | 2/10/2010, 3:45 pm EST

people who hate on 311 have never seen them live. i have taken haters to see them live and converted them. 311 would rip it up if they are actually gonna be there. and mad props for stevie wonder! quit all the hatin’ and spread the love!

mrdoofer04 | 2/10/2010, 3:56 pm EST

Most of you are some haters! I’m sorry bonnaroo isn’t the same bunch of acid trip, wookie attracting bands like phish. The truth is if you read up on your info those days are over and bonnaroo has since been bought out. If you don’t like the line up then go to some hippy fest like 10,000 lakes where ur worthlessness will be more appreciated. Good line up, and interesting for the most part. Go back to 1995 hippy douches

thetramp19 | 2/10/2010, 3:57 pm EST

ugh, i don’t have anything better to do than complain about a festival i wasnt gonna go to anyways. I hate my life.

DStyles | 2/10/2010, 4:09 pm EST

Jay-Z and Jeff Beck is all you need.

Dempsey | 2/10/2010, 4:19 pm EST

Wow, i’m amazed at the comments. People should understand the promoter’s had more than just YOU in mind when they made this line up. I listen to pretty much everything so this damn line up looks like a cream dream, take it for what it’s worth or just don’t go. No need to get all angry about what you have no control over.

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 4:28 pm EST

The Avett Brothers are awesome….look them up if you have never heard of them….watch live footage on youtube

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 4:33 pm EST

No one is stoked about NAS….the best hip hop artist alive??

David | 2/10/2010, 4:34 pm EST

THIS LINE UP SUCKS

ME | 2/10/2010, 5:14 pm EST

Technically…. Bonnaroo sold out the first 3 yrs. when it consisted mostly of Jam bands. Even 90,000 people in ‘04. They haven’t sold out(tix) since they sold out their lineups.

Ish360 | 2/10/2010, 5:18 pm EST

No one has mentioned the tickets are like 300 bucks. Too expensive. They need to cap the attendance at 20,000. That would be amazing!

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 6:30 pm EST

Worst. Lineup. Ever.

shitburd | 2/10/2010, 7:42 pm EST

gimme a break…”eclectic” is NOT the word to describe this lineup

shitburd | 2/10/2010, 7:55 pm EST

…its time to let the “Roo” journey on to the “great graveyard of festivals past”-cause its DEF over with this lineup of jagaloon assjackets….”JayZ headlines Bonnaroo”…cheese and rice man!!-i read that and puked my lunch back up in my mouth and spewed it on a lady gaga devotee

shitburd | 2/10/2010, 8:00 pm EST

bonnaroo has finally amassed the end all be all masters of modern musical mediocrity

Easy E | 2/10/2010, 8:08 pm EST

I think that the price is pretty reasonable and Jay Zs tour is pretty much sold out so you pay around 200 or more for descent seats and thats just one performer going to be here!

AWESOME LINEUP

Nathan johnson | 2/10/2010, 9:36 pm EST

IF i were a booking agent for Roo this is what
Roo would look like
King Crimson
Neil Young
Primus
Return to Forever
Thome Yorke

Anonymous | 2/10/2010, 9:57 pm EST

no Volta?

Ish360 | 2/11/2010, 9:09 am EST

The lineup overall isn’t bad it’s just that the headliners (except for DMB) is kinda so-so. Replace Stevie Wonder (or put him on a second stage) and jay-z with Eric Clapton and Furthur or White Stripes and you got a fucking great festival.

I wanted | 2/11/2010, 9:26 am EST

something bigger, come on bonnaroo i wouldnt pay for half the people there :(

Ish360 | 2/11/2010, 11:02 am EST

Is it just me or is Against ME! one of the worst bands around?

Ben | 2/11/2010, 11:21 am EST

Wanee is where its at this year. Allman Brothers two nights, Panic two nights, Black Keys, Stephen Stills, Dr. John, Gov’t Mule, Parliament, The Meters, Johnny Winter and many more

saht | 2/11/2010, 1:54 pm EST

the best thing about bonnaroo is the experience. the music will be great, no matter who you are. there is something for everyone. not just jam bands. not just indie acts. not just hip hop. not just country. everything. hippies hipsters and hooligans unite for a weekend and just get down. If thats not your thing stop complaining. Go to another festival or f off.

NIk | 2/11/2010, 9:03 pm EST

Lol you trolls saying “oh bonnaroo is dead to me, im never going agein:… i GARENTEE you people will be right along with Bonnaroo enthusiest like me next year online the MINUTE the Band line up is announced. get over yourselfs. its a great lineup!! fucking Melvins..Flaming lips!! les claypool! stevie wonder! how ISNT that epic????!

Kevin | 2/12/2010, 12:58 pm EST

you guys are crazy just the names jay z and STEVIE WONDER did it for me

rmm617 | 2/12/2010, 8:55 pm EST

29 bands I want to see on this list
i don’t know what you guys are complaining about

acoolplacetopark | 2/13/2010, 5:07 am EST

GWAR!

PTMR | 2/13/2010, 7:03 am EST

C’mon, there are many worthy folks on this line-up card. As one example, and I don’t want to get into a tit for tat dialogue, but the guy who complains Clapton won’t be coming ought to see Jeff Beck. Music likes and dislikes are often subjective anyway, so the people who put this together did a great job from some folks’ perspective and a crappy job from other peoples’, cest la vie!

BigJim | 2/14/2010, 12:21 pm EST

Geez, what a bunch of whiners! Nothing good to say? Then shut up ya freakin’ jerks! The promoters obviously cannot please everyone but they’re doing a pretty good job at providing plenty of diverse acts. You want Clapton? Go to the Crossroads festival. Be happy they put this show on or don’t go, just STFU ya spoiled bastids!

Anonymous | 2/15/2010, 7:17 am EST

Baroness is beast

vernieb | 2/15/2010, 2:25 pm EST

keep moving. Nothing to see here…

Haters | 2/15/2010, 4:21 pm EST

Jay-Z, Tenacious D, Damian Marley and Nas, Dave Matthews Band…I can dig that

Mike | 2/16/2010, 2:22 pm EST

You guy’s need to stop bitching. The idea of a music festival is to open people up to new genre’s and new band’s. Woodstock 69′ showcased a guitarist named Santana who didn’t even have an album out at that time. I guarantee people were wondering who the hell this guy was and the only reason they stayed was because there was one stage and nowhere to go! If Bonnaroo had Phish, Ween, and Further every year it would only be focusing on one particular group of people. You guy’s act incredibly selfish, like Bonnaroo owes you something and only you. They added an RB legend in Stevie Wonder, a rap legend (I don’t like rap but he is) in Jay- Z, a rock legend in John Fogerty, a guitar god in Jeff Beck. Can’t you just appreciate the fact that you have an opportunity like music festivals and stop complaining? 25 year’s ago you were lucky if there was 1 festival going on. All I’m addressing is just the selfishness of people, “What the fuck, there’s no My Morning Jacket!?” Do you really think Bonnaroo is going to go, “Oh, Wait, Todd wanted MMJ, let’s go give them a call!”

stop bitchin | 2/16/2010, 10:17 pm EST

everyone on here needs to stop bitching. i don’t like everyone on here but guess what? its impossible to see everyone anyway. the headliners aren’t great but, the flaming lips doing darkside will be interesting at least, also theres lotus, disco biscuits, deadmau5, BLACK KEYS, dead weather, damian marley, MMW, bassnectar, and theivery corporations. those groups alone are enough to make me want to go. plus it’ll be interesting to see jimmy cliff, one of the best reggae singers aside from damian’s dad. it’s not rothbury, but if you have any good taste in music you could still enjoy yourself. id be there if i wasn’t on drug court

Matt | 2/17/2010, 12:18 am EST

Solid lineup! But I gotta admit Coachella looks like the festival to go to this year, even so Bonnaroo looks like it will be a blast

Anonymous | 2/17/2010, 12:20 pm EST

damn everyones bitchin this line up sucks, coachella vs. bonnaroo, you morons are the reason these events have gone under if they have at all.you forget what its all about…..MUSIC

nice lineup | 2/17/2010, 12:23 pm EST

this line up is insane.as for all you kids hating on this awesomeness of a fest maybe hot topic will throw some sort of something at a mall for you to enjoy

ROOski | 2/17/2010, 12:56 pm EST

bands are gonna be different every year..its for lovers not haters..if you dont like this lineup then dont go quit posting neg comments ..yall prob just mad cause yall broke..this lineup is just as good as any. i’ll see yall there. keep it real one love

brandon | 2/18/2010, 10:13 am EST

Just because more than eleven people have heard of the headliners doesn’t mean that the entire line-up is bad. The Flaming Lips are incredible, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is awesome, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, are too damned awesome, The Avett Brothers are good, and Edward Sharpe is pretty effin’ cool too. Bonnaroo is always going to be a good time. I don’t like Jay-Z either, but that’s why when he’s performing, I won’t be at that stage. I’ll be smoking pot out of an apple in the cinema tent, or seeing what the beer tent has to offer. Bonnaroo is the greatest. I’m sorry if you feel like an artist is automatically discredited just because they’ve sold more than 100 albums, but I think that’s pretty retarded. I agree that Weezer is a pile of shit NOW, but their first two albums were MASTERPIECES, and maybe they’ll play from those, ya know? I’m going to Bonnaroo, I’m going to have fun, and I’m extremely thankful that all the stuck-up assholes who think that the presence of a well-known musician is going to ruin the entire festival, are staying home. BONNAROO !!!!

stevek | 2/18/2010, 4:42 pm EST

i wouldn’t go to this for free. worst line up i have ever seen at a festival.

There is no 311 up there | 2/18/2010, 7:50 pm EST

did 311 change names, cause people are talking about them but i don’t see them listed

Kasey | 2/18/2010, 8:59 pm EST

Preach it Brandon, preach it.

Shut up hippies | 2/18/2010, 10:26 pm EST

Hey hippies calm down there’s enough jam bands to hold you over for this event, do your molly knit your wool hats sell your art, weed, and vegan food and you might have a good time, since Rothbury MI has been canceled this is where were going. Yes it’s about money but where else r u gonna go? cry somewhere else like “HookahVille” where u can OD on Heroine and Nitrous

aaron | 2/18/2010, 10:27 pm EST

dave matthews and gwar at the same show! wow, plus against me! i wish i could go, id really be stoked to see that!

Stevek | 2/18/2010, 10:31 pm EST

Grow-up idiot your an asshole retard

--- | 2/18/2010, 11:04 pm EST

WHERE THE FUCK IS PHISH!!! YOU CAN HAVE BONNAROO WITHOUT PHISH!!!!

broman182 | 2/19/2010, 5:54 pm EST

this years lineup is so sick. i heard green day and blink 182 are gonna end up going. and you spelled fish wrong dumbass

peacenik64 | 2/21/2010, 3:51 pm EST

If Lady Gaga is ever at Bonnaroo I will never go again.

P.S. broman182. It is in fact, Phish. The band. Phish.

newschool | 2/24/2010, 1:17 pm EST

Big Names = GREAT LINEUP

Glad to see BONNAROO moving in this direction

MIIKE SNOW!
PHEONIX!
!!!!!!!
the line up is good shits all over the last 5 roos

andyruss | 3/1/2010, 12:42 pm EST

This line-up is easily the best line-up Roo has ever had. For two reasons.
1. Dave Matthews Band is headlining
2. The Flaming Lips are going to kill Dark Side of the Moon. FUCK!

Small town girl | 3/2/2010, 6:29 pm EST

This is going to be SOOOOOOO AWESOME!! The best time of my LIFE
-small town girl

WEAK!!! | 3/4/2010, 5:40 pm EST

So weak! Couldn’t pay me to head to TN with 90,000 others to see…Jay Z??? DMB???? Wow, Bonaroo is dead…to real music fans anyway.

WEAK!!! | 3/4/2010, 5:41 pm EST

Haha, have fun at this frat party kids!!! haha

lol | 3/11/2010, 3:21 pm EST

You people are funny. Bonnaroo will be great if you want it to be great. If you tell yourself it’s shitty…well then it’ll be shitty. Tenacious D alone is worth a trip to TN. John Fogerty is a legend. Hell I’d watch Lady Gaga for sure. She’s a great talent, and if you can’t see that, you’re blind. I appreciate ALL music. I find good in everything. Plus, I’ll be so fucked up at Bonnaroo, anything’ll sound good. Why so serious?

Peace,
Jag

..>.... | 3/11/2010, 6:40 pm EST

stevie wonder alone is bringing me back…..dmb galactic blues traveler john prine claypool medeski bisco and jeff beck are just icing on the cake

Addman | 3/16/2010, 6:48 pm EST

There are some decent bands. There are some not in my opinion decent bands. The next comment could be the same as mine but they might like all the bands I don’t care for. A flip flop. Ying Yang. People, lets have some fun and not be so critical!!

rth | 3/28/2010, 4:14 am EST

wish that line up was in cali thats tight. all the east coasters dont like the line up cause theres not enough country music

Dtt | 3/28/2010, 7:11 pm EST

Line-up is unreal… Massive amounts of talent amoungst the performers. I dont understand why people could possibly be upset?

nml | 3/29/2010, 9:50 pm EST

If you don’t like it then why even post? Do you people have nothing better to do? How about this: if you don’t like the line-up, get your lazy ass out from behind your computer screen, do something productive and find somewhere else to go. If you don’t like it then nobody wants you there anyway. You don’t even give the music a chance before dissing it. If you were a true music fan you would at least listen to it before flipping shit. k thanks.

Anonymau5 | 4/4/2010, 4:19 pm EST

Lady Gaga is the shit. I feel bad for all the haters who dislike her music just because it’s mainstream. If you pseudo-hippies and hipsters heard her as an underground artist you’d be creaming your pants for her.

Yay | 4/7/2010, 4:23 am EST

Julia Nunes! Julia Nunes! JULIA NUNES!!!

Anonymous | 4/7/2010, 4:42 pm EST

Why is no one mentioning Damian Marley?? One of the best artists out there today and he has a new album comming out (although its with nas..) and he is the son of a true legend. plenty kaya fe dis ya event mon
