The IPCC is very pleased that:

 Professor Vicente R. Barros,
Co-Chair of Working Group II of the IPCC, has been named the recipient of a
special award in
science
from the government of Argentina.
The award, granted to commemorate 200 years of
independence in Argentina, recognizes the body of Professor Barros's work,
including contributions to the development of atmospheric sciences,
knowledge about climate change, capacity building, and training many PhD
students. The award will be presented by the President of Argentina.
