Singer Izibor invited to White House

Dublin soul star Laura Izibor has been invited by US President Barack Obama to the White House next week for the traditional St Patrick's Day celebrations.

The singer said that she was "honoured and delighted" to receive the invite.

Izibor, who is currently touring the US, will be joined by golfer Padraig Harrington and boxing champion Katie Taylor at the 17 March event.
