There has been plenty of romance over the ten years of Big Brother.
But Charlie Drummond and Rodrigo Lopez broke new barriers when they shared a kiss under the bedsheets.
After weeks of practical jokes, rowing and making up, the two openly homosexual housemates gained the distinction of being the show's first gay couple when they passionately embraced.
First gay couple: Charlie and Rodrigo embrace under the bed covers on Big Brother
In the double bed they were sharing, Rodrigo leant into Charlie before they embraced for a few minutes yesterday morning.
The night before the two had shared a bubble bath, where Charlie shaved Brazilian Rodrigo's legs.
New housemate David Ramsden is likely to be left disappointed by the burgeoning romance.
The 28-year-old clothes sorter had earlier confided in Charlie Drummond, 21, that he fancied the Brazilian student, 23.

But, although there has never previously been a gay couple in the
show, Big Brother's first gay kiss came in the show's eighth series
when housemates Seány O'Kane and Gerry Stergiopoulos smooched during a
game of truth or dare.
On last night's show the housemates were seen taking part in a Grecian-themed shopping task.
Rodrigo and Charlie once again had a row as they tried to recreate the Stavros Flatley dance from Britain's Got Talent.
Tears and tantrums: Rodrigo vowed never to talk to Charlie, but soon cheered up
After being insulted by Charlie, a tearful Rodrigo retreated to the diary room, where he vowed: 'I will never talk to Charlie again.'
But they soon made up again and completed the dance as the others cheered them on.
The shopping task also saw three of the housemates act as Presidential guards, three run a kebab van, and three act as Greek Gods.

Bea took the role of Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love. She recorded a video detailing her ideal man: 'I'm looking for an articulate, well read, interesting, bohemian prince.'
But that's not all she wanted - his hair must be 'not too short or long', blue eyes, and he must be tall.
He must be 'into tantra and be a musical person'.

The ideal candidate would want to father six or seven children and go to festivals with her, while enjoying the finer things in live.
She likes the 'Jesus look, a hippy, but not smelly'.
Anyone who meets the criteria can apply via the Channel Four website.

Kenneth, evicted housemate Karly's boyfriend, was later asked to find her contraceptive pills, which she left in the house.
He couldn't find the pills, but tearfully told Big Brother: 'It's kind of like me asking her to find my condoms.'
As he sobbed, he was reassured that Big Brother did not intend to imply anything untoward.

Also feeling romantic was new housemate Tom, but his efforts to get to know Noirin were thwarted by Marcus' constant presence.
He told the others: 'Looks like Kenny's not the only one who's got security.
'I was trying to check out Noirin earlier, but I thought "what happens if I get seen, I'll get my legs chopped off.""
The Irish beauty later gently confided in Marcus that people were calling him her bodyguard, and didn't feel able to talk to her.

Marcus teased it out of her that Tom had said this, and retorted 'Well exactly'.
He told her that Tom is 'driving a wedge between us' and told her to 'watch out for slippery b*******'.
In the diary room she confided: 'I know Marcus doesn't like him. '
But it wasn't Tom, but Siavash who was waiting for her outside the diary room. 'We should not be having this conversation,' he told her.
He then asked 'could you see us in five years' time?' Siavash, who has a girlfriend, then hit himself on the head as she walked away.
