About Livingston
Major General Robert E. Livingston, Jr. is a conservative Republican candidate for the office of South Carolina Adjutant General. As a combat veteran who has led a force of over 9,000 into battle, General Livingston is uniquely qualified to be South Carolinas next Adjutant General. While the South Carolina National Guard still performs its traditional role as the Governors emergency forces in the event of disaster, riot or insurrection; since the terrorist attacks of September 11th the Guard has been increasingly asked to serve as a combat force in the War on Terror.
General Livingston is running for Adjutant General because the brave men and women of the South Carolina National Guard deserve a leader that not only understands the needs of a combat force but also has the energy and knowledge to fulfill those needs.
