Modern Warfare 2 'Stimulus Package' hits PS3 tomorrow photo

Modern Warfare 2's first downloadable content, a five-map set called the "Stimulus Package," finally makes its way to PlayStation Network tomorrow after remaining exclusive to Xbox LIVE for a good chunk of time.

Alongside the new maps -- Bailout, Salvage, Storm, Crash, and Overgrown -- the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2 is getting a couple of new multiplayer playlists: Stimulus (only new maps), Stimulus Hardcore, and Team Tactical (TDM, Domination, CTF, Demolition for 6-8 players). Also, double XP on all playlists!

Last we heard, the PC version was getting this add-on on the 4th of this month as well. I haven't heard otherwise since then, so possibly be on the lookout for that too, I guess.

I was a bc2 supporter when it came out but now it's full of nothing but snipers. It gets so fucking annoying. I'd rather put up with the glitching and boosting om mw2 at this point. Oh well I'll just hope treyarchs next cod is as good as waw was:)

@videodrone31: Seriously, you can't figure out how to counter snipers in BC2? What platform and mode? I play Rush and Conquest on PS3, pretty much on a daily basis and I definitely have no problems with excessive snipers there are always a few in any match but in small enough numbers that they can be countered. I rarely have to quit/restart to avoid a match where both sides are just sniping (has happened maybe three times since day one purchase).

Anyway, the MW2 pack looks sweet but I will not buy it until it's <= $10.

Reach beta today on 360, this tomorrow on PS3 coupled with double XP that will last at least until next Monday. Concidence? I think not. This had to have been released on the 360 when it did so the 1 month exclusive ended this week.

Super Street Fighter IV > MW2. Haven't played MW2 since 2 months after it launched. Check my gamertag! Oh wait nvm, there was that one time my cousin came over but still, my CoD4 time is leaps and bounds above my MW2 /played time. Battlefield:Bad Company 2 is awesomo as well.

I had to buy this for review on a site I work for. The point is, this DLC on the xbox 360 is entirely pointless if you don't play MW2 enough or if you've only just started playing the MW2 multiplayer for the first time.
If however you love the multiplayer experience already and want some variation, then this DLC makes perfect sense for you in the long run.

If I wasn't review it I wouldn't have bought it either way.

I think the stimulus is well worth it, because if you play a lot of MW2 then you will eventually be paying like 15 dollars for and extra day or two which is 48 hrs for 15 dollars. i think that is a pretty good deal. i know the other map packs had NEW maps and 3 or 4. well 3 maps for 10 is still 3 dollars per map and 15 dollars for stimulus package is 3 dollars for each map so yeah quit bitching about these map packs, go play bfbc2 or some other game what ever you prefer cheapskates while everyone else is playing these new map packs that they said they weren't going to buy your going to be playing with noobs and cheapskates like yourself while all your friends are playing new maps and you are sitting there getting noob tubed by little 4 yr olds

Yay. More maps for campers to hide in. I just wish there was a 20 kill streak reward that would make a C130 pass overhead, with an army of midgets parachuting down and landing on top of all the campers hiding with shotguns, then proceed to plan semtex explosive on their forehead. The last thing the camper would see is the midget running away and giving them the finger as they blow up. Put that in game and I'll start playing again. /looks at watch and starts a countdown for the inevitable MW2 addict/fanboy/crackhead to jump on this...
