    The dwarf dinosaur, Magyarosaurus dacus, which lived in what is now Transylvania, was about the size of a horse and weighed some 230 pounds. Its giant relatives could weigh up to 220,000 pounds.

Ares is making his public debut during the Animal Tales Extravaganza at WCS's Bronx Zoo. Coquerel's sifakas, one of the endangered lemurs, are found only in northwestern Madagascar where their numbers are rapidly declining due to devastating habitat loss.

    Strange Sea Species Found Off Greenland

    Looking like a creature from the Alien movies, this nightmarish "longhead dreamer" anglerfish (Chaenophryne longiceps) was until recently an alien species to Greenland waters. The dreamer, which grows to a not-so-monstrous 6.7 inches in length, is 1 of 38 fish species found around the Arctic island for the first time, according to a recent study led by biologist Peter Moller of the Natural History Museum of Denmark in Copenhagen.
