Q&A With "White Collar" Creator Jeff Eastin

Police dramas have always been a staple of television. As the viewing public becomes more safisticated their programing must do the same. With the market saturated over the years with programs featuring violent crimes it comes as a breath of fresh air to have programs that explore other forms of criminality.

This helps explains the popularity of USA Networks show White Collar. The program explores the world of white collar crime (as you may have deduced from the name), with a slight slant. The program is centered around a former conman who has traded his prison term in by agreeing to work with the FBI to help catch other white collar criminals.

During a recent confernce call, the show's creator - Jeff Eastin - talked about plotting a complicated series like White Collar. He also talked about shooting in New York and how he came up with the idea for such an orignial series.

What was the planning like for season two?

What we've done most of the time is tried to keep the mythology rolling forward. I also tried to look at what we did right in season one.

With season one doing so well with viewers and in the ratings does it add pressure or take it away going into the second season?
