Spring man gets 30 years for armed robbery

A jury sentenced Spring resident Kevin Williams to 30 years in prison for his part in a 2009 aggravated robbery of the Texas Sunmart at I-45 North and Pruitt Road.

CFBC hosting health expo on May 21

Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Road, is hosting the Age Well ~ Live Well Houston Expo on May 21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The expo will feature free health screenings and resources, door prizes, and an appearance by Astros mascot Junction Jack.

Doerre students earn academic awards

Eighth grade student Kristof Willimann was one of 100 Texas students who participated in the Geography Bee sponsored by the National Geographic. Brandon Ohl earned a Silver Key in the regional Scholastic Writing Contest. This is the oldest writing competition in the United States for secondary school students.

District baseball race coming down to the wire
