The People & the Press poll database can be searched by entering combinations of words and phrases and/or searching within topic areas. When using the text field, only questions that include all of your search terms in the question wording are returned, so identifying the correct words is critical. For example, a search for obama favorability may produce no results, but a search for obama favorable will find the right items.

You may also use the wildcard (%) symbol to expand your search (i.e., a search for immig% would return all questions that contain words beginning with immig, including 'immigrants', 'immigration' etc.)

If you are looking for an exact phrase, simply put quotation marks around your search terms.
