SCC v2 ‘Beta’ Has Finally Arrived, With New Features

Some skeptics said this day would never come; others agreed that it was all part of a scheme to rake in more donations. After ongoing discussions spanning over the past two years in reference to a tentative beta release for SCC, finally it has come to fruition. The Internet’s #1 scene tracker has undergone quite a few new changes in SCC v2, although we doubt if it took the entire two years to code.
The long wait is finally over, v2 beta is now available for our donors and vips. Before you ask, anyone who will donate during the beta stage (from today) will be able to login as soon as he gets a star. Some of the features we’ve been working on are:
- • New sexy look
- • New and improved code
- • Improved torrent search, it actually finds stuff you search for!
- • Improved imdb information for movies
- • MP3 genre (all mp3 releases are now sorted by genre)
- • Force ssl
- • Preview post/comment
- • Invitee list
- • and more..
Thus far, the beta is only open to VIPs and Donators, although ‘Scene Legends’ should be able to get an opportunity to access it within the next few days.

IMDb info is included for films; with year, IMDb link, rating, genre and poster art. Director, producer, language and top three cast members are listed.

The link to the second SSL torrent has been removed. Members can select ‘Use SSL’ in the userCP to force SSL browsing and SSL tracker.
More features are in store, such as advanced control panel options (torrent snatchlist w/ seed time). Remember, this is beta. Stay tuned for more info!

SCC is by far the best 0day tracker today now that ScT is gone. Anyone who thinks otherwise or thinks SCC is like the rest can’t analyze for shit. And who cares about whether or not the staff have egos or there’s some donation scheme. Just avoid the staff, or don’t donate.
The reason they ban crap countries is because the workload will be easier for them especially if a majority of a country’s users are gypsies.

Some trackers also pulled from Tracers. To stop calling on every tracker, GFT and others don’t normally beat SCC, at least they don’t on non-spam releases. But there’s a few other trackers that still have faster times on spam releases. So I’d stop sucking up to your favourite tracker ‘cos GFT aren’t that good (in winning races, but they’re better than others still

It’s funny how many people cry about pre-times and ‘racing’. It’s such a superficial method of of attempting to measure a trackers value/rank in the torrent scene. So what if it’s 3 minutes faster? or even 45 minutes? Are you that desperate to watch that movie that you couldn’t possibly wait another couple of minutes to grab it? Or are you just addicted to torrenting and downloading stuff that you need to be the first to get it?
Now, I don’t know how it is at SCC (I’m not a member, never have been and have never attempted to get in), but a private tracker’s value lies more in overall site activity (IRC and forums, as well as downloading/uploading activity), member participation in events/site feedback, torrent retention, streamlined site operation, clean look, respectful members/staff, considerate/experienced staff and the level of difficulty involved in remaining a member of the site. “Pre-times” is just an invention to get people excited and give them a tangible figure to compare themselves to others.
On a side note, have they finally permitted the uploading of gay pornography? I heard they used to be very strict about this. There’s hardly any gay porn on TPB

SCC wasn’t pretty before… Fast speeds, good pre times, the archive and 0day/mp3 was great. The only two things I didn’t like were the forums and the site layout. Other than that it’s not a bad site - and I am not there anymore - but non the less it’s looking good.

If your country is banned, you still can register and use this tracker. When you recieve an invite and go to the register page it says that the invite system is not working at the moment (or something like that). Use proxy from any not_banned country and continue registration. After registration is complete you can use your account without proxy server. Good luck to you)

SceneTorrents was a far better site every aspect to SceneAccess, our community, our staff, our peer count, our pretimes, our AUTO. SceneAccess was 2nd and now is 1st, but once we release ScTBDev along with our on the fly 0sec auto there are definitely many sites that will pose a threat to every site you all hold in high regards right now. Basically all small sites (Less than 20,000 userbase) will cease to exist, it will get much more difficult to donate with users that will be donating to other sites, only the large sites will survive. And the last great tracker SceneTorrents will live on in infamy while the ones you thought were great will die a slow, humiliating death.

SCCV2 only for some members (donors and vips) I think it’s the worst idea.. How can they make this diffrence? And how the other users (who don’t have money to donate and who are not legends) feel? I bet they feel like trash.
In one topic on scc forum, one user asked if they could keep tho both thems (SCCV1 and V2) to be interchangeable and capnclive said it would be ridiculous, check this print here:

But the fact that they keep half of users on V1 tracker and the other half on V2, seems to me quite ridiculous and more than that. Shame on them, they only care for the money, that’s for sure.

What would be the point to make it available for everyone? it will be available for everyone when it goes public….

Yes I know what is a beta. But they did this commercial, and split the users, propabily most of the users that donated don;t have a clue about tracker bugs and aren’t interested in this aspect. So not so praised ideea from the staff.
And when that public realese will be? Probabily not so soon from what it seems. So all the other user who don’t have money to donate, don’t worry, scc staff hasn’t forgotten you, they just don’t think at you, thats all.
