Message From Art

Dear Citizen of Nevada,

Our campaign seeks achieving Prosperity Through Individual Freedom.  Many of our fiscal, educational, criminal, and social ills stem from our dominant two-party system, with each party forcing their respective values and fears upon us.  Through the use of legislation, they criminalize any view that runs counter to their own and through taxes force us to support it.

Both parties have grown powerful from these ideological battles at the expense of the taxpayers, who look forward to the day the yoke of government will be lifted from their shoulders so they may live their lives peacefully in whatever manner they choose.  As long as we vote these parties into office by choosing “the lesser of two evils” on Election Day, we will continue to pay through increased taxes while our rights are slowly stripped away.

I am offering a libertarian approach; a live-and-let-live ideology.  This will keep taxes low, restore our freedom, and keep government out of our classrooms, out of our bedrooms, and out of our hospital rooms.

Our state government is suffering from the largest budget deficit in it’s history.  Other candidates suggest across the board budget cuts, and others offer dreams of a new economic base financed by government incentives (which would have to be paid through higher taxes).   I instead propose removing barriers to commerce.  What we need is a reason for more people to come to Nevada.  When more people come, either as tourists or as residents, our economy will grow.  Remove the barriers to commerce and create more jobs, more demand for housing, and more opportunity for entrepreneurialism.

I support initiatives based on libertarianism, including: Reducing the size of government, low taxes, divorce reform, education reform, marijuana reform, affordable health care, and equal rights for young adults eighteen and over.  I will also work with the other forty-nine Governors to prohibit the Federal Government from ignoring the Tenth Amendment which states that all power not delegated to the federal government is reserved by the states and the people.

This election you do not have to choose “the lesser of two evils.”  This election you do have another choice.  We have the power to vote career politicians out of office and bring in one of our own, someone’s whose only interest is getting the power back to the people and to restore our voice as the Founding Fathers intended.

Yours truly,

Arthur Forest Lampitt, Jr.
