Shared? Dedicated? Group? Semidedicated?

A shared seedbox is a large server, with lots of memory, CPU, etc, that is used by a small number of users who usually don't know each other. Each user gets a portion the the server. Data is of course private and one user can't see other user's activities. We have shared seedboxes around the world, so you can pick the datacenter that gives you the best speeds (you can try several if needed, transfers are free). Because what one other user do may affect the performance of the server, the number of torrents is limited - we guarantee a maximum number of active (running) torrents per server, so the total load is low and the server is always responsive and fast.

A dedicated seedbox is a server (of any size; we have many) fully controlled by the user. It can be configured as a personal seedbox, or as a group seedbox to share with buddies. Note: It is allowed to share your dedicated server and even sell accounts if you order it as a group seedbox.

A semidedicated server is a perfectly divided server (exactly the same space per user) which exactly 3 slots. There are no different plans, and the number of users is fixed. Users have no limits of any kind (no traffic limit, no torrents limit) and each of them has his own IP address. They come only with rtorrent + 3 different interfaces, but no torrentflux-b4rt (needs to much memory and in these servers we absolutely squeeze every drop of performance). They are available in France, Germany and the United States.

Xirvik with Open Source: As you may be aware, Xirvik sponsors a number of Open Source projects relevant to our scene, such as rtorrent, rutorrent, or transdroid. We regularly hire their authors for custom jobs (that eventually make it to the mainstream versions of their product, to give back to the community). There is no other seedbox company that gets the level of support we do from the authors.

Interesting read: A review of Xirvik's installed rtorrent interfaces (we gave a seedbox to FileShareFreak for testing).

Our classic line of shared, semidedicated, and dedicated - there's something for everyone!

Lots of power - best if you need to compress/uncompress or create torrents directly on the server

A great dedicated server on a budget

When speed is everything
