ZAGREB, Croatia (AP)—Ivo Karlovic has withdrawn from the French Open with a right foot injury and is doubtful for Croatia’s Davis Cup quarterfinal series against Serbia.

Karlovic says his Achilles’ tendon has been bothering him for months.

In Wednesday editions of the Vecernji list, he said he wants to play at Wimbledon and in the Davis Cup, but his health is most important. He says he will make a final decision after more medical tests.

Croatia, the 2005 Davis Cup champion, will face Serbia in the Davis Cup quarterfinals on July 11-13.

Mario Ancic, another Croatian player, is struggling with back pains and questionable for Davis Cup.

When you watch online, many matches have no commentators because what you are watching is the direct-camera feed. It's wonderful! Plus the big-name matches have European commentators.

I don't see any mention of the Williams sisters in this article but I have to agree... I get awfully tired of seeing them and hearing about them. No doubt they are both great tennis players, but I simply don't enjoy watching either one of them. Just as I don't enjoy Ivo or any of the other giant players (except for Del Potro... he's interesting) The Williams' matches are rarely entertaining for me and I have gone to watching my tennis online which offers the great benefit of allowing me to select the matches I see so I can AVOID the Williams'.

Can we have one story un-related to the Williams stay a non williams story ? Not once in this article did i see either williams listed in this story, and to try to tie them in because of davis cup which karlovic wont be playing in, is just fishing. For these ladies not to be liked or hated they seem to pop up on every post whether about them or not.

isn't rooting for the williams sisters just because they're from your country a little biased?

thank you for telling us such kind of incredible things. though i'm not gonna believe in it, yet i have to do. that's coz you told us the exact place where one can see & hear what has happened. it's a pity that i can't get access to tennis channel. is it possible for you to tell us here several practical examples or exact issues that support your observation. thnx. hopefully all of us can feel proud of the achievements accomplished by serena, venus, oudin...in fed cup & roddick, isner, querray & bryans bros in the davis cup. no need for us to care about their skin color or races so long as they win the glory for the country. even if they fail to win, it still should be given huge applause so long as they did their best. certainly, in case (just in case) someone did some harm to the country's honor or glory coz of her/his bad behavior or terrible sportsmanship, she/he is supposed to be condemned no matter what her/his skin color or race may be.
