A Conversation on Boundary- Crossing Leadership
In September 2006, The California Endow- ment held a discussion on "boundary-crossing leadership" with Angela Glover Blackwell of PolicyLink, Stewart Kwoh of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, and Alonzo Plough, Ph.D., and Robert K. Ross, M.D., of The Endowment. Excerpts from the conversation have been published to help jump start further discussions on how to better equip leaders to work across communities.
California Foundations 2004: Trends and Patterns
Developed by the Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy at the University of Southern California, in cooperation with The Foundation Center, the report California Foundations 2004: Trends and Patterns examines the current state of California philanthropy. The report finds that foundations' assets have weathered the economic downturn of the early 2000s and foundation giving has exceeded the high levels set in 2000. The report was funded by The California Endowment, The James Irvine Foundation and The David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
