"After spending the morning with some very engaging 8th graders
at Twinfield Union School, my belief is reinforced that Project Citizen
offers kids more than a course in civics education. It gives them a
real-life opportunity to develop and sharpen their decision-making
abilities. I hope, for our country's sake, that some of these Project
Citizen students opt for a career in public service"
Senator James M. Jeffords,
speaking to the Twinfield (VT)

Proyecto Ciudadano |
Project Citizen has two process-oriented student texts designed for use in middle (Level 1), secondary, and post-secondary classrooms, youth organizations, and adult groups (Level 2). The teacher's guides include directions for leading students through the instructional process and developing a portfolio. It also provides instructions and evaluation procedures for conducting a simulated public hearing.
Each year the Center provides a limited number of free sets of materials to teachers wishing to participate in the Project Citizen program.
If you are interested in using these materials with your students or members, please complete the form below so that the coordinator for your area can contact you.
