Downtown Campus
The city is the classroom for students, professors and researchers on the Downtown Campus—access to internships and local businesses is just steps away. On-campus housing is available, and access to public transportation makes off-campus living a snap
The location of a university plays a significant role in the kinds of programs and opportunities available. Because Denver’s downtown business, shopping and entertainment district is literally steps away from the University of Colorado Denver, there are unlimited options for study, work and play.
Located in downtown Denver
Our location means you have convenient access to business, organizations and government offices, yielding hands-on, relevant learning experiences through internships and class projects.

A diverse student population
Because we are downtown and serve a non-traditional student population, you’ll find tremendous diversity in your fellow students. We have one of Colorado’s most diverse campuses, with 37 percent of freshman students an ethnic minority and international students from 125 countries.
Low student-faculty ratio
Here you are not a number; undergraduates receive the kind of personal attention found at most private universities. With a student-faculty ratio of 15:1 and an average class size of 29, students are known by their professors.
Challenging academic and research programs
Academic challenge is what many of our students crave, and they find it in the Chancellor’s Honors and Leaders program and in the opportunity to conduct—and receive funding for—research projects. Our annual University Research and Creative Opportunities Program gives the entire community the chance to see graduate and undergraduate research and creative activities.
Student housing adjacent to campus
And what a vibrant place to live! Campus Village, apartment-style suites adjacent to campus, are close to Denver’s extensive sporting, arts, shopping and entertainment options.
