CAMPING INFORMATION

            Camping permits are required and free and are issued at the Parks Permits Section on the ground floor of the Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building, 650 South King Street, or at any Satellite City Hall from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.. The Parks Permits Section office is closed on weekends and holidays. Hours of operation at Satellite City Halls vary by location. 
           
Camping is allowed five (5) days a week, from 8 a.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Wednesday.  Some camp sites are only open during weekends, some are only open or closed during summer months, see table below.  There is no camping on Wednesdays and Thursdays when the camp sites are closed for maintenance. 
           
Each applicant must apply in person, be at least 18 years old and is limited to one permit which allows a maximum of ten (10) persons, children included, and two (2) family sized tents to be erected.  Reservations may be made no earlier than two Fridays prior to the camping period requested. If Friday is a holiday, camping reservations will be accepted on the day before the holiday.   For more information on camping, call the Parks Permit Section at 768-3440.

Note: Camping at Mokule'ia Beach Park has been suspended until futher notice.

Camping is allowed by permit at 15 City and County of Honolulu campsite facilities.   They are:

Bellows Field Beach Park 41-043 Kalanianaole Highway, Waimanalo  50 campsites (weekends only)
Hau'ula Beach Park 54-135 Kamehameha Highway, Hauula   15 campsites
Kaiaka Bay Beach Park

66-449 HaleiwaRoad,
Haleiwa

  7 campsites
Kea'au Beach Park 83-431 Farrington Highway, Waianae  25 campsites
Kokololio Beach Park 55-017 Kamehameha Highway, Laie  5 campsites
Kalaeloa Beach Park Barbers Point, Ewa Beach

  13 campsites (weekends only)

Kualoa "A" Regional Park 49-479 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe  7 regular campsites; also 1 large and 1 small campsite, call Kualoa Regional Park office at 237-8525 to reserve the large and small camp site. (Weekends only, Friday to Sunday, no camping summer months June, July and August).
Kualoa "B" Regional Park 49-479 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe   30 campsites (there are currently 14 available)
Lualualei Beach Park #1 86-221 Farrington Highway, Waianae  6 campsites (summer only)
Maili Beach Park 87-021 Farrington Highway,   Waianae   12 campsites (weekends only)

No camping until further notice:
Mokule'ia Beach Park
