Cat and Mouse

An Ultimate Adversaries Miniadventure

To mark the release of our Ultimate Adversaries book of villains, creatures, and droids, we present "Cat and Mouse," a free miniadventure that uses statistics from the new hardcover. The scenario can be used in any era of play but is probably best suited to the Rise of the Empire era. It's designed for four to six heroes of 3rd to 5th level. Because the adventure deals with shady deals, gambling, and the black market, at least one of the player characters should be a scoundrel, noble, or other character with ties to the seedier side of the galaxy.

In "Cat and Mouse," the heroes find themselves invited to a sabacc game in the back room of a ratty cantina and walk away with a big prize. But when they end up getting more than they bargained for, will they be able to save the day -- and their lives? (Sorry to be so coy, but this is just one of those adventures that you can't say much about without spoiling it!)
