Business Council and the Embassy of The United Arab Emirates Commercial Trade Office, will lead a U.S. Department of Commerce certified U.S. Aerospace & Defense Trade Mission to the U.A.E. from October 2nd-7th, 2010.

Government of Abu Dhabi donates $150 Million to the Children's National Medical Center in Washington
Today at the Children’s National Medical Center the Government of Abu Dhabi announced a $150 million philanthropic donation. Children’s plans to use the donation to open the Sheikh Zayed Institute for Pediatric Surgical Innovation. This philanthropic donation is said to be the largest sum of money ever donated to a U.S. children’s hospital.

During a policy lunch hosted by the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council today, the U.A.E. Embassy Commercial Counselor Saud Al-Nowais announced the opening of the new Embassy Trade Office in September 2009.

The U.S. and the U.A.E. Reach Historic 123 Peaceful Civilian Nuclear Energy Agreement
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed signed an important civilian nuclear energy deal today in Washington. Once reviewed by Congress, the agreement will allow American firms to sell civilian nuclear energy equipment and know-how to the U.A.E., potentially unlocking significant commercial opportunities for U.S. companies.
