2010 Coaching Symposiums

The IIHF and the German Ice Hockey Association are pleased to announce the 2010 International Coaching Symposiums that will be held in conjunction with the 2010 IIHF World Championship in Germany. This season features two separate symposiums; the first, for Minor hockey coaches will take place in Heidelberg, from the 7th – 9th May 2010 and will focus on player development. The second symposium, examining the young player succeeding in professional hockey will be held in Cologne from the 14th – 16th May 2010.

Vierumäki Sports Institute

Bachelor Degree in Sports and Leisure with Emphasis on Ice Hockey Coaching

The Coaching Degree Program offered at the Vierumäki Institute by the HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences provides a unique opportunity for young enthusiastic coaches interested in pursuing an educational approach to ice hockey coaching. At the same time the program incorporates research and actual experience new ideas and initiatives generated directly from within the sport as part of the program curriculum.
