@Chris W.: "To be the # 1 team in the land they should have blown the Ducks away all three games." Give me a break! If you start out 24-0 there's no way you're going to continue blowing teams out forever! There's this thing called the law of averages...

Baseball America We have a little different feature today. As part of our minor league preview we looked at salaries for minor league players, coaches, umpires and minor league front office employees. What we found is you don't get rich working in the minors, but you do get to work in a game you love.

I remember watching a minor league game years ago with a 30-year-old organization player in right field. We wondered what was he doing with his life. Then we all acknowledged, we'd love to be playing ball that long.

What are the next 5 teams out of the top 25? Does USD not get any love for back to back weekend victories vs. Rice and Coastal Carolina?

I was at the second game in the Virginia-FSU series, and I have to say, Virginia got lucky. They were down 8-3 going into the 9th, and then scored 6 runs. Obviously they deserve credit for it, but it was as much a case of FSU's bullpen imploding as it was a case of Virginia rallying.

Both good teams, though, and it was a really exciting game - lucky for me, I'm not a fan of either team, so I just sat back and enjoyed the drama!

I've never been a big fan of college sports, but I may actually get into college baseball as a result of Baseball America. The ONLY sports thing on my mind right now is spring training, not that madness that everyone else is going through. I probably know more about Jedd Gyorko than Da’Sean Butler right now, but my niece at WVU knows all about Butler but had never heard of Gyorko until I mentioned him.
