Three counties intersect at Catoosa: Rogers County, Tulsa County, and Wagoner County.
Catoosa is located East of Tulsa at the point where I-44 splits from Highway 412. Historic Route 66 cuts straight through the middle of town and features the famous Blue Whale.
The McClellan-Kerr Navigation System connects the Tulsa Port of Catoosa to the Arkansas River and thereby connects Catoosa to the world beyond the Mississippi River. It is the furthest inland seaport in the United States.
