The Family Fund helps families with disabled children and young people aged 17 and under to have choices and the opportunity to enjoy ordinary life.
We give grants for things that make life easier and more enjoyable for the disabled child, young person and their family, such as washing machines, driving lessons, computers and holidays.
The Fund is a registered charity, helping around 53,000 families on the lowest of incomes across the UK. We provide grants to families totalling £31 million pounds a year.

"My son starting college and needing a laptop for his work would have been a great strain fur us had it not been for the Fund. To help him in his 17th year is fantastic as the need for support does not go away and is often greater"

The Family Fund has launched its own Facebook page to bring together families, friends and supporters to spread news about the Fund and share their experiences.
The Fund has changed the way it looks at income to help more families on the lowest of incomes. From 1 April 2010, the Fund will consider a grant application where a family’s total income from all sources, including net income and benefits, is below £25,000 in England and £27,000 in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
