Apr. 25 9:12 AM PT10:12 AM MT11:12 AM CT12:12 PM ET4:12 PM GMT12:12 AM 北京时间9:12 AM MST11:12 AM EST-Carmona shut down the Oakland Athletics by scattering seven hits over 7 1-3 innings and the Indians broke out of their scoring slump with a 6-1 victory Saturday. Analysis: The right-hander, who pitched so poorly in 2009 that he was sent to the Arizona rookie league, looks a lot more like the 19-game winner he was three years ago. Carmona allowed only two runners past first base, both coming in the third inning when the A's scored their run. Beyond that, the 6-foot-4 righty was stellar, striking out four with no walks while lowering his ERA to 2.96. |

Apr. 19 12:55 PM PT1:55 PM MT2:55 PM CT3:55 PM ET7:55 PM GMT3:55 AM 北京时间12:55 PM MST2:55 PM EST-Carmona won his sixth straight start over the White Sox - and second in three games this season - in Sunday's 7-4 home victory. He gave up three runs and six hits over six innings. Analysis: Unfortunately, Carmona (2-0, 3.60 ERA) won't get to face the White Sox again for another month. He'll likely start again Saturday in Oakland, and he's 2-3 with a 7.14 ERA in six career starts against the A's. He matched a career high last season by giving up nine runs - seven earned - over 5 2-3 innings in an 11-4 loss in Oakland last season. |

Apr. 13 1:06 PM PT2:06 PM MT3:06 PM CT4:06 PM ET8:06 PM GMT4:06 AM 北京时间1:06 PM MST3:06 PM EST-Carmona had his second straight respectable start, allowing two runs and five hits in eight innings of Cleveland's 4-2, 10-inning loss to Texas on Monday. Analysis: While the right-hander has walked 10 in 14 innings, he's only allowed six hits. The last two seasons were a major struggle for Carmona after he won 19 games in 2007, but these two starts are at the very least a promising sign that he may return to form. |

Analysis: Carmona finished last season by winning back-to-back starts but was 5-12 with a 6.32 ERA. He has 14 wins since finishing 19-8 in 2007. |

Analysis: A 19-game winner in 2007 who struggled so badly in 2009 that he was sent to the minors, the right-hander didn't walk a batter and allowed only three hits. |

Mar. 22 3:53 PM PT4:53 PM MT5:53 PM CT6:53 PM ET10:53 PM GMT6:53 AM 北京时间3:53 PM MST5:53 PM EST-Carmona threw six scoreless innings to help the Cleveland Indians beat the Chicago Cubs 9-2 on Monday. Analysis: Carmona allowed two hits, both by Alfonso Soriano, and walked none. The big right-hander was 19-8 with a 3.06 ERA in 2007 before going 13-19 with a 5.89 ERA over the next two years. He has been plagued by wildness but he has issued only two walks in 13 spring innings. |
