For a sec, I thought I was at Mad Wednesdays. The words of Maria Davis were playin' in my head: "Now you see that's why our people don't have anything. Because we don't know how to go in places and act properly." Yes I witnessed the madness at the Seaport last night. And I didn't even feel safe in the VIP tent! That Jay-Z club scene in MTV's Diary where he goes after Beans played in my mind. "No one in this stage of my career should be in a situation like this." Damn you B.Dot! What am I doin'? What am I doin'? I'm damn near 40. No Noah Shebib. Seriously I don't blame Drake for the madness. Nor the NYPD. Sadly, I have to blame the good folks at Paper Magazine and the concert organizers. None of the acts performed! You can't have a gang of rambunctious youth standing on top of each for hours with no music or entertainment and not expect things to go ape shit eventually. Where was a DJ? Some tunes could've soothed the savage lil beasts. (No "Hard In The Paint") Hanson or not—this is hip-hop, goddamnit. Gotta give the people what they want or you best protect ya neck.
You Played Yourself
Only thing worse than a woman scorned, is a desperate one. Minaj is the now. You're the past. Wanna change that fact? Than do somethin' about it. Last I checked, we're still waitin' for your first post-jail hit. No more interviews. Don't talk about it—be about it. The Queen Bee needs a buzz and rap beef isn't gonna get you back on the throne. Sorry, ma.

Two nights ago, The Unit brought the Invitation Tour to Beantwon. In the above clip, 50 fires a shot at Diddy and a playful one at Yayo before Banks bangs out his new single. No Lloyd. No problem. Splash!

Fuck an industry event, Antwan brought the party at the Island bash. Even the ubiquitous producer behind the lead single off Sir Lucious Left Foot joined in on the fun. Stank them later.

Another deleted scene from the Drake doc where he spits TML‘s leftover’s lyrics on New Orleans’ Q93.3. You still think it should’ve made the album? So true.

Eat your heart out, Hov. Now that Tha Dogg’s allowed back across the pond, he got to hold things down on the hip-hop front at this year’s Glastonbury festival. The good folks at Soul Culture got more footage to check out. Let’s pretend we were there.
