Rumor: Is Microsoft prepping for more PC game publishing news this year?
Kotaku reports that according to what they say is an internal Microsoft Q&A memo for Fable III for use by spokespersons, the official stance seems to be that the Fable III PC announcement is not a one-off special. The article quotes the Q&A as saying, "Windows 7 is a world-class gaming platform, and you can bet Microsoft has a vested interest in using it as a platform for amazing first party content. "Fable III" on Windows as well as Xbox 360 this holiday is a great first step, and we'll have more news for you later this summer." Could this mean we could see other Xbox 360 first party games like Halo: Reach and Gears of War 3 coming to the PC or perhaps a PC exclusive title announcement? It would see the answer is, "Stay tuned."

I would like them to keep supporting the PC but I doubt it since they canned Alan Wake.
They would never go PC exclusive ever again, as long as the Xbox is around.Posted at 9:00PM on Jun 21st 2010 by den

I'm dreaming and hoping for such a thing. But that's all I can actually do is dream and hope, Xbox 360 is making Microsoft tons of money and the PC players are only good for purchasing their still buggy (of course Macs are no better what so ever) and still quite problematic operating system. I was quite pleased to find out that Fable 3 will and is slated to be for the PC along side the XBox 360 in the holiday seasons. I just wish we could get more Role Play Games the non MMO kinds probably perhaps ones like Final Fantasy. Oh wait that's right Square Enix doesn't like PC players, but never hesitate to seek help from the PC crowd to play their MMOs >.>.Posted at 2:41AM on Jun 22nd 2010 by Terical
I think their indifference to PC gaming will eventually come back to bite them where it hurts the most, their operating system business. Part of the reason people choose Windows is for gaming. If there is no gaming on Windows, or at least just as much on the Mac (Steam for Mac anyone?), then they will continue to loose market share to the Apple marketing machine. At some point down the line MS needs to realize that gaming is an important part of the Windows experience and step up their efforts or it'll start cutting into their most profitable business unit; OS.

No, as long as the title is Xbox 360 exclusive, we in PC land will likely never see it. And in the slight off that we do get it, it won't be until months or even years after its done selling on the Xbox 360 first. What MS doesn't understand is a double pronged attack by promoting it on both the Xbox 360 and PC would be the optimal situation and end up doing better in sales.Posted at 8:41PM on Jun 21st 2010 by Shadowhaxor
