The California native recently began his offseason workouts in Los Angeles and is using Denver's first-round playoff exit as motivation.

The Nuggets have extended a qualifying offer to restricted free agent Linas Kleiza. Denver holds the rights to the 25-year-old small forward, who spent last season playing in Greece. Kleiza averaged 8.3 points in four seasons with the Nuggets from 2005-09.

Coming off an impressive rookie season, Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson is set to play in the NBA Summer League next month in Las Vegas. Denver, which went 4-1 in the summer league last year, will play five games in six days on the UNLV campus starting July 9.
