We paved nearly two miles of State Route 9 from 56th Street SE to 60th Street NE.  We also added turn lanes near 42nd Street NE, added lighting at eight intersections, and installed new guardrail and signs.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
The new pavement provides a safe driving surface by eliminating cracks, potholes and rough patches.  Drivers also benefit from upgrades to lighting, guardrails, and signs.
Car GlyphRelieves Congestion
The wider roadway will accommodate more traffic, and the new turn lanes will improve traffic flow.
Leaf Glyph Protects Environment
The new drainage systems and a new detention pond at 42nd Street will help capture and clean runoff water.
