Record Breaking Attendances
STOKE CITY supporters flocked to the Britannia Stadium in record breaking numbers during the 2009/10 campaign… registering the highest average league attendance in almost half a century.
Not since the 1963/64 season, when Sir Stanley Matthews helped lead the Potters back in the Old First Division following a ten year absence, have so many fans passed through the turnstiles at the home of the Potters.
In fact, well over half a million City supporters witnessed another season of huge progression, an average of 27,162, as Tony Pulis led his side to an impressive eleventh place finish in the top flight of English football.
Chief Executive Tony Scholes says: "Once again our supporters have continued to give the football club tremendous backing throughout the duration of the 2009/10 season by turning up in record breaking numbers.
"That, together with the fact that we have already sold more season tickets than at the same stage last year fills me with great confidence that we could again go on to have an even bigger average attendance next year.
"This is further evidence of the fact that our supporter base is growing and it is especially pleasing to see a significant number of new Season Ticket holders and a good proportion of young fans."
A record breaking number of supporters have already given their backing to the Club for next season by taking advantage of the early bird prices which were on offer in March, but if you weren't one of them we are giving you a second chance to snap up a seat at the Britannia Stadium for another unbelievable price, but be quick as there are only a limited number remaining.
The Club are delighted to announce that 'Mid Price Season Ticket's will be on sale from the Britannia Stadium Ticket Office and online at SCFCDIRECT.COM from 9am on Tuesday June 1st.
Log on to STOKECITYFC.COM from 8am tomorrow morning for prices and more information.
