ARN appoints new content director

MIX and ARN logosAustralian Radio Network (ARN), has annouced the apointment of Duncan Campbell to the new role of national content director, superseding the current position of group programming director, Mediaweek reports.

The replacement follows this week’s announcement that network program director, Peter Yiamarelos, had left the company.

Chief executive, Ciaran Davis, said that Campbell brings a vast knowledge of Australian and international radio programming skills, which will ultimately play a critical role in positioning the network’s brands for future growth potential.

Campbell returns to Australia after eight years in Britain, where he held senior programming positions with G-Cap, the GWR Group and most recently, a very successful period as regional program director with the Bauer Radio Group.

He has also worked in every metropolitan market in Australia as a former group programme director at Triple M.

“His background in delivering first class FM radio and additional content to audiences, across a variety of formats and platforms, will contribute significantly to the development of our business as we push for new and innovative approaches to achieve our results-focused goals,” Davis acknowledged.
