Characters
Coach Taylor
Coach Taylor has two families -- the West Dillon Panthers and the women he goes home to: wife Tami and daughters, Julie and Gracie. Read more
Tami Taylor
Tami Taylor comprises one half of what critics call "the best marriage on television." But far more than being just "Mrs. Coach," Tami served first as a guidance counselor and now principal at Dillon High -- where her focus on academics over football has inspired conflict with the boosters, the fans, and even her husband. Read more
Julie Taylor
The eldest daughter of Tami and Coach Taylor, she was once a young, sweet, studious girl who had no interest in her father's football team or its players. Until Matt Saracen, that is. Read more
Matt Saracen
An underdog and thinking man's QB, Matt Saracen was thrust into the position of QB1 following Jason Street's paralysis. He rose to the occasion and led the team to a state championship. Read more
Buddy Garrity
Buddy Garrity is Dillon Panthers football. He lives and breathes it more than anyone, and his passion is infectious as he leads the boosters in raising money and town spirit for his former high school team. Read more
Tim Riggins
Resident rabble-rouser and heartbreaker, #33 is arguably not Dillon's favorite son. Though he did help take the Panthers to State twice, the havoc he wrought weekly on the field was nothing compared to his exploits Saturday through Thursday. Read more
Lyla Garrity
Lyla might be the daughter of a football fanatic, but she always loved the players more than the game itself. Though she was once star-quarterback Jason Street's girlfriend, it was her on-again/off-again relationship with Tim Riggins that affected her the most. Read more
Landry Clarke
At West Dillon, you can be athletic, smart, and loyal, but the most popular girl in school is still out of your league. Landry Clarke made his way from the Panthers' stands to the field, has the GPA of a valedictorian, and stayed true to his best friend Matt Saracen, but the beautiful, blonde, bad-girl Tyra Collette always remained out of reach until a frightening incident brought them both together. Read more
Vince Howard
With his mom on drugs and his dad in prison, Vince Howard is on his own and out of options. The one thing Vince has going for him is he can run. Fast. Read more
Luke Cafferty
The only child of God fearing, non-football parents, Luke sees the game as his one and only way out of Dillon and the grueling life of a cattle rancher. Read more
Jess Merriweather
Jess is a girl with a strong head on her shoulders. She knows what she wants and she's ready to work hard to get it. Read more
Becky Sproles
Shoulders back, smile and wave. For Becky Sproles, an only child whose single mom spends more time tending bar than with her daughter, competing in local beauty pageants is a cure for her loneliness, a channel for her infectious energy, and maybe even a way out of East Dillon. Read more
